Cousins spoke glowingly of Bates while at the Super Bowl on Tuesday. The Jets won't be his only suitor, however, and whoever wins the bidding war will have to back up the Brinks truck.

Not sure Denver has the $25-30 million a season it would cost to sign Cousins. Not to mention the AFC West is suddenly competitive, which could affect Cousins' decision. As is the AFC East, so we will see.

Rats! I wanted another year in the Cousins/Washington Saga.

Certainly going to be a QB buyers market this offseason. Should be interesting to see how it all shakes out.
Rodgers has to be liking 5e portential for bidding up QB contracts as it would probably increase his, soon-to-be, mammoth contract.

Have to post this, even though it sounds crazy. Had a dream last night (or a nightmare for some) Eagles won the Super Bowl 25-0 for the first shutout in its' history. Don't know why I had this dream, I just remember trying to get a newspaper to find out what the score was by quater. Somehow I'd missed the game. Anyway, there's my crazy post of the day.

As a Niner fan I always root for Alex. He had five different OC's in his first five seasons in SF so he was constantly having to learn a new scheme. It wasn't until Harbaugh arrived that there was finally some consistency and he finally flourished. I did feel bad for him when he got benched for Kaepernick because he was still playing well and shouldn't have lost his job due to injury but everyone, including me, got caught up in the Kaepernick hype. So yeah I rooted for him to do well in KC and was happy for him when he did. I know people always call him a game manager but it really came down to the personality of his HC and offense. In SF the offense was run first and Alex was just asked to not turn the ball over, which he didn't. In KC he was given a little more leeway to make throws and he did. I will continue to root for him in WAS, he's not a great QB but he's good and also just an all around good guy.

Eh, the TNF games are barely a step up from the MNF games. I don't hate the TNF games but I could do without them and a majority of the players want to do away with them as they don't allow enough time for recovery between games.

It is a good plan. Cousins is not that young, this will be his 7th season in the NFL and he's going to come with a hefty price tag. For a young team that's going to need to spend cash wisely to be competitive in that division, marrying that much of the cap to a QB is not wise.
