Nah, Hue would probably say something like "he's too short and not a good fit for my system".

Brees should retire a Saint but $50M to throw a football with absolutely no pressure or expectations in Cleveland for one year? Anyone should take it lol, even if the guaranteed money is only half that.

Cleveland has so much cap space, they could fully guarantee a 1yr deal, and still have plenty to spend on other free agents.
They are getting a pretty good front office in place, and could surprise this season.

If they draft well, they can get good in a hurry. Some talented draft evaluators in house now.

They could win now, with a new coach.

I'm really hoping Dorsey & his guys have their contingency plans in place for "Life With Hue" (in which they're all developing eyes in the back of their head to prevent getting stabbed in the back by him) as well as "Life After Hue" (in which they get to pick their own head coach and move the franchise forward in presumably harmonious fashion). I don't see the franchise moving forward until Hue's gone.

And, of course, we have Hee Haw to thank for that as well. The only reason he didn't fire Hue is because he didn't want to further enhance his public perception as an incompetent, trigger-happy buffoon (which is exactly what he is). Guess his second-in-command and a few others are taking the fall for the Pilot/Flying J rebate scam. I wonder what kind of hush money/severance package those guys are going to get once they get out. I really wish they could have implicated Hee Haw in it (I'm absolutely convinced he knew of it all), but justice has its price tag, I suppose.

Which reminds me...when is Hue jumping into Lake Erie like he promised? I bet he tries to weasel out of it.

Rant over. Bring on the draft!

So I was listening the John Kincaid show, and he mentioned that when Nick Foles was on Jimmy Kimmel’s Show, Kimmel asked him if Brady had ever contacted him to congratulate him, since Brady was too much a baby to shake his hand on the field, and Foles said he had not.
Wow! Just wow.

Are HOF QBs expected to shake hands of the backup scrubs now? How would Brady even find him, now that he's a nobody again?

It’s called gamesmanship. Clearly Brady never learned that. I’m sure Brady would probably be the first to point out if the 5 QBs he beat didn’t shake his hand, but they all did.
Foles was on the field waiting, Brady was storming off the field into the locker room. Lol. Waaaaaaaahhhhh.
Even better Brady lost to a scrub back up, as you put it.

Of course his own team leaves him hanging, so it could be a culture thing in New England.

Yep, and if this turns out to be the final Championship for Brady that will be an unfortunate blemish on an otherwise stellar career.
Not to mention message board fodder.

I'll bet Cleveland goes 1-15 or 2-14 next season, then fires Hue Jackson... and hires Jeff Fisher.

8-8 with the Browns is some accomplishment.

I'm pretty sure Jeff Fisher never wants to be an NFL head coach again. The timing of when he was fired, one loss away from setting the all-time record, couldn't have been a coincidence. Unless the Rams just didn't want their name attached to that record.

That’s all Doug Pederson knew as a HC, last season, before winning a Championship this season.

Tom Brady showing bad sportsmanship? I've never been so shocked before in my life.
