Richard Rodgers - TE - Eagles
Eagles signed TE Richard Rodgers to a one-year contract.

Rodgers had some early success in Green Bay but has been buried on the depth chart the last two seasons. He'll replace Trey Burton as a receiving complement to Zach Ertz in sub-packages. Rodgers has below-average blocking for a No. 2 tight end, but he gives the Eagles another red-zone option.

Matt Cassel - QB - Lions
Lions signed QB Matt Cassel.

Cassel has ties with Matt Patricia and GM Bob Quinn from his Patriots days. He gives Detroit a veteran behind Matt Stafford but isn't a lock to open the season in a backup role. 35-year-old Cassel will compete with Jake Rudock in training camp.

We’re getting a lot of hate, but these jerseys are a significant upgrade to what we’ve had. I love the new look and I think it’ll eventually grow on our haters.

I’m just really disappointed the logo didn’t change. Everyone, including our fans, hate the logo. Always have.

I have to disagree... I know there's a lot of quarterbacks, and a few others not included in that list like Jackson, but none of them stand-out. No one is breathtaking. I do think Baker has the most potential.

Kaepernick and his lawyers don't have any evidence of collusion so their plan is to try and depose as many people as possible and hope someone slips up and says something that implicates their team and/or the league as a whole.

I'm still surprised the commissioner hasn't bribed some team to get Kaep signed and make this matter go away. He could have told a team that if they signed him they'd have a better chance of getting the Super Bowl or draft, or offered to look the other way when they break some rule. Some people thought the Raiders and the league had an agreement that the Raiders would sign Kaep and the league would look the other way about the team blatantly ignoring the Rooney Rule when they hired Gruden, but that didn't turn out to be the case.

Raiders interviews 2 minority candidates before hiring Gruden they were never really in contention however they did not bypass the rule

Mark Davis admitted he had an agreement with Jon Gruden to become coach before Jack Del Rio was fired and the interviews with minority candidates (neither of whom would ever be considered realistic NFL head coaching candidates) didn't occur until after Del Rio was fired and Gruden agreed to take the job. They clearly didn't comply with the Rooney Rule but for some reason the NFL didn't punish.

Yep. And this is why the Rooney Rule needs to be eliminated. It actually causes more issues now.

I’ll be damned if someone is going to put the nonsense in this country’s head that a minority coach has no chance without that rule. It’s a bunch of garbage.

There are currently 6 black head coaches. 6/32 = 18.75%. Black population in America is about 13%. I stated this in a college class a few years back when my teacher was tryin to brainwash the kids into thinking sports are racist. I gave these facts... teacher was pretty butthurt that her entire semester’s agenda was destroyed in one sentence.

Kony Ealy - DL - Cowboys
Cowboys signed DE Kony Ealy to a one-year contract.

The former second-rounder was waived by the Patriots last summer before going on to notch one sack in 452 snaps with the Jets. Ealy did generate a little more heat than his sack total would suggest, and was also a menace batting passes. He's not a bad flier for the perennially pass-rusher needy Cowboys.

Seems like Eric Reid is blacklisted too. Kaepernick should give up and try baseball.
