Not really, the buzz from Rotoworld is both Gregg Williams and Todd Haley were on the hot seat. Probably why they fired Haley instead of naming him HC.

I look at it like this: what do the Browns have to lose, exactly?

When you’ve been an absolute doormat for as long as they have, only real direction is up.

Haley has experience and would be able to coach as he sees fit, instead of being dismissed by assclown Hue. Even if it's just interim for the remainder of the season, Haley gives you the best chance to win. My take.

It's surprising in that Haley seemed like the most obvious candidate to replace Hue Jackson, but it's justified and obvious based on the Browns' offensive performance so far. Although he was dealing with talent limitations, Haley had done a dreadful, dreadful job through eight games. Caldwell had bad clock management but im pretty sure his record was better then Schwarz tenure
