Glad they finally fired Hue. He just hasn't been able to fire up the players this year. I am surprised that they let go Haley. I sure hope whoever they bring in as interim HC/OC will still use the current playbook. I feel sorry for the players. What was already going to be a tough with KC has just made worse with both head coach and OC fired.

Of course he is. When you can’t hold 17pt lead in the 4th, that’s an issue.
Schwartz relies too heavily on the DL, that the secondary is completely devoid of talent. He’s a one trick pony and can’t make the necessary adjustments.
Which is why he couldn’t cut it as HC and probably knows that.

Jim Schwartz; 5 seasons, 29-51
Jim Caldwell; 4 seasons, 36-28

Remember too that Schwartz inherited the team that went 0-16 in 2008. Millen too was finally gone after 2008, but the "new" guys were already in the organization and didn't do anything much different.

This may galvanize the team to pull off one of the biggest upsets in NFL history.

Rod Marinelli and Scott Linehan continuing their "good work" in Dallas, can't wait till they join Jason Garrett on the unemployment line.

OK kill his first 2 years off that list time to redraft and get new signings.

Confirmed Williams is the interim HC

Quote:
Gregg Williams - C - Browns
Browns promoted DC Gregg Williams to interim head coach.

Six years removed from his one-year suspension for his lead role in the Saints' "Bountygate" scandal, Williams is for some reason getting another chance to lead an NFL football team. We suppose he was the only realistic candidate after the Browns sent OC Todd Haley packing along with coach Hue Jackson. Williams' defense actually leads the NFL in takeaways this season, so he has at least managed to improve on what was an embarrassing 2017. A true dinosaur of an NFL personality, we would not want Williams "leading" No. 1 overall pick Baker Mayfield for half of his rookie season, but that's just us. Senior offensive assistant Al Saunders and QBs coach Ken Zampese will be responsible for figuring out what to do on offense.

Tom Brady is 28-3 against the Bills. Heard those numbers were significant somewhere.

Tom Brady loves feasting on the AFC East just like A-Rod loves feasting on the NFC North.

Cowboys have fired useless OL coach Paul Alexander and promoted assistant OL coach Marc Colombo.

I don't understand these odds for the Browns next full time head coach from OddsShark:

Quote:
Sean McVay +200
Lincoln Riley +225
Zac Taylor +550
John DeFilippo +650
Dan Campbell +750
Brian Flores +750
Dave Toub +800
Jim Harbaugh +1200
Bill Belichick +2000
What am I missing on why McVay would be the favorite? First off if the Browns wanted McVay they'd have to work out a trade with the Rams, and that wouldn't be cheap. More importantly why would McVay want the job? He's got a team that's going to be a Super Bowl contender for at least a couple years and will be opening a new stadium in a couple years. Why would he want to leave that for the dumpster fire in Cleveland?

Hey, crap owner, but we're no longer a dumpster fire We got some real talent on both sides and can win games.

But I don't understand some on the list, like McVay. Harbaugh, hell no. Urban Meyer, maybe. Belichick at least has Cleveland history, and would get rid of Kraft/Brady struggle, but I still think there's no way he'd leave New England.

Matt Campbell is the name to be watching.

If Belichick leaves, it's to go sit on a beach.
