Well 2 things, he still has that ridiculous contract that I'm guessing most teams wouldn't want to take on. Also he may never play again so speculation on where he will be next year is moot at this point.

I could see them dumping him if they got Luck, Peyton misses a few games and Luck goes nuts, like Brady did to Bledsoe. I just don't want Peyton near my team, the only reason he's good is because he's gotten such good protection over the years he gets as flustered as a cop in a ***** house during a raid if he gets pressured.

Peyton is toast.

I aint giving $0.01 nevermind $28,000,000 to a guy with a busted neck.

He comes back on the field, takes a hit, boom back to the IR*.

*headoffathepass comment:
yes we know he isnt technically on IR yet.

Darren McFadden (foot) was held out of Raiders practice Wednesday.
While the recent shedding of his protective walking boot bodes well for McFadden's long-range recovery, early signs point to McFadden missing at least one more game. We'll know more on Thursday and Friday, but fantasy owners should have Michael Bush penciled into lineups for Sunday's game at Minnesota.

I'll bet you're wrong. I could definitely see Indy cutting Peyton loose if he doesn't heal up 100%. How many more years do you think the guy has left at 36 and banged up? Most likely what happens is Peyton returns to action as the starter next season with Andrew Luck waiting in the wings like Rodgers did in Green Bay.

Funny thing is Luck has another year of eligibility left and could play for Stanford in 2012 if he wanted to. Unlikely but ya never know.

Funny thing is Luck has already publicly stated he will not play for any team that intentionally tanks a season just to get him. I don't think Indy in intentionally tanking but I do think that they have major holes with need to be plugged. Peyton is truly that good if the team goes from a winning record in playoffs with him compared to what they have now.

I have said this before, I seriously doubt any team is tanking on purpose to get him.

Coaches jobs are @ risk if they go 1-15….makes no sense to tank it to get a guy that u may not be able to coach the next season.

Benny, how does it feel knowing the Raiders will hand the Packers there first loss of the year in a few weeks?...

LOL, i make my self laugh sometimes .. seriously though, I'll just be happy if we dont lose by 20+ .. I can see Rodgers lighting up our terrible secondary for 5, maybe 6 touchdowns...

Honestly I wouldn’t mind a loss to u guys!!!

I hope they lose 1 or 2 somewhere to keep their heads on straight!!! Just not to a division opponent.

I think mccarthy will keep them under control and not let their egos get to big about going undefeated.

Keeping my fingers crossed, my buddy may have a line on some tickets to that game!!!

I don't think I've ever heard that analogy before. I'm not convinced he will ever come back. It sounds like his neck really isn't healing that well.

This is the NFL, no team will purposely lose games to get better drafting position. They are professionals after all.

If I were a Packers fan, I would be very nervous if they go into the playoffs 16-0. Just ask the Patriots about the extra pressure and stress it adds to a team.

That’s exactly what is making me

IDK why, but I think Belichek (I know I butchered his name : ) ) would let it go if his players were flying high about going undefeated.

McCarthy just seems like he is the type of coach where he’ll let it go only so far before he shuts it down.

Look @ last year for example. They went into the Super Bowl as the underdogs…..15 guys in IR and back ups @ some big time positions.

After their last meeting before the game, he told them to get fitted for rings. That gave them the confidence going into the game where they thought they could pull it off.

I’d expect him to do something similar this year by keeping them grounded and letting them know week in and week out people are aiming to knock them off.

Lets face it the colts are losing on purpose....not trying to win i.e. signing kerry collins etc. = trying to lose.

On the packers i would want to go 19-0.
I already have a ring....i dont have 19-0....rodgers can do something brady hasnt.

I guarantee you they are not trying to lose on purpose. No team would do that.

how could they have been favorites w/that many non-opening day starters in the game??

oh well.

steelers were down a center, packers were using back up’s @: RB, CB, Safety, LB, and RT

A few things....

No team is tanking on purpose.

A. Luck doesn't have a say..... some team could come out and tell him "hey we tanked so we could get you" and he'll just smile and tell reporters that no team loses on purpose, and he looks forward to helping the team turn around etc..... He's gonna shut his mouth and take his paycheck no matter where he goes.

Indy was a team on the downslide and didn't look that good going into the season really..... If Peyton was playing this season he'd be running for his life because the line has fallen apart over the past couple of seasons, and although he could have lifted them to more wins, I'm going to say that there is no way that team would be above .500

I hope Green Bay loses soon..... I don't have anything against them as a team, but I want them to bench Aaron Rodgers so he doesn't get hurt before the playoffs..... that will be a nail in the coffin to all of the fantasy football owners who are kicking butt with him as their QB..... I'm pretty sure every Fantasy owner who has Rodgers is probably in the hunt right now if they were even half-conscious for the rest of their draft!!!!

In my big money league, I'm 9-1 with my only loss to the guy that has Rodgers, and he's in second place.... so I'm a little biased

The other two leagues I'm in, one is being won by the guy with Rodgers, and the BD.Com league has the guy with Rodgers in 3rd.... He's this year's Michael Vick, or Adrian Peterson

Tebow against a decent defense..... Tebow doesn't stand a chance!

The Jets will put 9 in the box and make that chump try to throw.

As long as Dirty Sanchez doesn't give the game away, the Jets will DESTROY Denver.
