I know it makes too much sense to bring in Kaepernick, and this is the Redskins (which also means this is an organization run by Dan Snyder), but come on.

Redskins signed QB Mark Sanchez.

The NFL's "meritocracy" spins on. When last we heard of 32-year-old Sanchez, he was being slapped with a four-game PED ban in April. Now he will serve as Colt McCoy's backup in Washington. Sanchez has attempted just 109 passes since the end of the 2014 season. Teams have to start getting more imaginative at quarterback instead of recycling the same retreads over and over and over again.

I saw that he's backing up McCoy, which is insane. But still though, they're leading the division and have a shot at the playoffs...

You can do a lot worse than McCoy. He should keep them in the hunt for the playoffs.

Not saying this cuz it's my team, but I honestly don't find it that funny and never have. Put another jersey on the players and I still wouldn't and yet ESPN has showed it like you said, a 1,000 times which will by 1,000+ times come Thursday.

The reason why WAS signed Sanchez is quite simple, he has ties to several of the coaches on the offensive side of the coaching staff including the OC (he played with him on the NYJ), but ya know that would require reporters to actually dig a little bit and do their job.

These bloggers are all the same. Team signs QB to be the backup and the blogger freaks out that they didn't sign Kaep instead... to be the starter. Always the starter. The narrative being pushed isn't that Kaep is good enough to be on a roster (which I think he is), but that he should be the unconditional starter, and that is part of the reason why he isn't signed.

Last year the Ravens signed Thad Lewis basically to kick the tires on him and then they eventually cut him. Seems most likely they brought him in to be an extra arm in practice. CBS Sports blogger loses his mind that they passed on Kaep. Something tells me if the Ravens had signed Kaep instead for two weeks and then cut him before the season started, that same blogger would not have been okay with that.

Didn't the Lions give up on the season in week 8 or something?

Yup, 500 yards in the last 3 games since Cooper came along. Also hit 50% of our 3rd downs with Cooper, compared to 31% before. Oh and Dak's completing more of his passes and throwing for more yards. Coop opened the entire offense for us. Just like Zeke thought he would.

Hey, I didn't agree with that trade. But we won yesterday and can still win games.

Jerry'd probably embrace it, I'd take him over Cooper Rush if he's ready to play. Then again Jerry loves his $ and Kaepernick wouldn't go over well with sponsors, so never mind.

The whole suing the NFL thing is also a problem.
