It doesn't matter how logically or patiently you explain this, they'll just come back with either "but what if tho" or "ya but they should tho." Whatever.

Alex Smith has has a heck of a career after his coaching situation stabilized. His stats since the 2011 season when he was age 27 are really impressive.

75-35-1 record (68% win%)
142 TD, 48 Int
94 QB rating

Little playoff success but a very solid 14 TD, 2 Int, 97 QB rating in 7 postseason games.
