Too much heat right now, Redskins gonna wait for off-season to pick up Kareem Hunt

Friend of mine said the Eagles have apparently inquired about Hunt but I don’t see that anywhere. And it’s very unlike Jeff Lurie to want a player who comes with a lot of baggage.

Seems like generally everyone wants him on their team, at least among the fans/friends I've talked to. For what anecdotal evidence is worth, anyway.

I look at it like this: he’s going to play again, so it’s just a question of with who.
Philly went through all this before when they signed Vick and there were no problems. He was a good solider and after pulverizing the Redksins got his cleats in Canton.
Everyone passed on Josh Adams, and he only set rushing records at Notre Dame. He’s been fine so far this year.
Michael Bennett. I’ve given both Bennett bothers flack over the years, but I haven’t really heard him get too lippy and that’s on a team with a losing record.
Blount last season was a locker room leader. Kept waiting for him to lash out when Philly signed Ajayi, but he accepted the back up role with no problem.

I just think this is today’s NFL. Well paid athletes, in their 20’s are going to do dumb things and unfortunately it’s going to be a fact of life.
Depending on the talent level some guys are going to get multiple chances.

Take the Foster signing by Washington. If that guy figures out how not to be an idiot, Washington will have made a great move. If he gets convicted and can’t play, they cut him. If he does work out, and Washington wins games...all is forgotten. Like it or not, that’s just where we are with today’s NFL.

Oh no doubt, but that won't stop the fans from wanting him. Same reason people keep hoping for Kaep and others. Talent is great but not if it comes with a circus.

Hunt has been officially waived by KC. Waiver deadline is 4pm Monday.
I’d be amazed if he clears waivers. So now it’s just a question of who blinks first.

Not gonna lie, will have mixed feelings if Philly signs him. Lord knows they need RB help. Need a stud CB to screw up too!

Kaep is a walk in the park compared to a guy who quite literally beat a woman with a video of said assault.

Kaepernick played a much more important position, and had a horrible last season. When you break it down, there were only 5-7 possible job destinations for him to start. No team needs that much of a headache in a backup QB. So he basically played himself out of a job.
Again, if he was setting the QB position on fire, he would’ve been playing. But he didn’t, so he’s not. Political agenda aside.
Hunt is a proven stud, and NOT charged. Rice, like Kaep, had a horrible final season and WAS charged. Big difference.

3 of the top 5 teams in the waiver order could certainly use a running back: SF(1), Oak(2) and NYJ(4 or 5 pending coin flip with NYG).
Oakland is the most intriguing, as they will have 3 picks in the first round.

I know. But he was never charged. That is going to come into play for a lot of teams, I suspect.

No charges or video of Zeke, and he got 6 games IIRC.

Judge dismissed charges on Rice.
