Wow Steelers are playing another AFC West team for the 3rd week in a row. Hopefully they’ll win this one

That tie could help the Steelers win the division.
Both Pitt and Bal have, what appears to be, 2-2 schedules left. If that happens Pitt will win the division, thanks to a tie.

Ravens have a tough go to end the year. Playing in KC and LAC, and hosting the unpredictable Bucs and Browns. Let’s see what LJ8 can really do.

How come nobody is clamoring for Mike Tomlin’s firing today? He’s got a near identical: regular season win percentage, playoff win percentage and Championship, as McCarthy.
His team just lost for he first time EVER in Pitt while leading by 16pts(174-0-1).
Where are all the McCarthy pitchforks/torches for Tomlin??

The Steelers still lead the division and have made the playoffs the last four seasons. The Packers loss yesterday all but guaranteed they're going to miss the playoffs for the second straight season.

So if Pitt loses the division to the hated Ravens? Or miss the playoffs, or lose in the first round?
Torches and pitchforks then.
Let’s be honest the only ring Tomlin won was basically Cowher’s team. Hasn’t done a whole lot since then. So just a slightly better form of stale.
Plus Tomlin has the luxury of being surround by one of the best, if not THE best scouting departments/player evaluators in the league.

Tomlin has never had a losing season. Can McCarthy claim that?

Been saying this as well, he should go. You’ve got a HOF/SB-winning QB and probably the best WR/RB tandem in the league for several seasons now, but not even an AFC title game to show for it? Pittsburgh plateaued years ago and at some point they’ve gotta make a change.

Exactly! Just surprised folks here aren’t as animated over him getting the axe as they were McCarthy.

It’s funny because we’re talking about two franchises in GB and Pitt that have underperformed spectacularly since their last SB appearance, which was against one another. People can say “yeah but they won the division” or “yeah they made the playoffs,” but franchises with that talent and that history are always shooting higher.

I don't disagree that if Pittsburgh misses the playoffs or loses in the wild card round Tomlin should be done. I was just responding to why people aren't clamoring for Tomlin's firing today. The Steelers have underachieved in the playoffs for years and Tomlin hasn't taken near enough heat. However, the Steelers have only had had 3 coaches in the last 50 years and the Rooneys have backed Tomlin so a change is unlikely even if they'd miss the playoffs.

Oh I get the Rooney’s mindset. I’m more referring to local folks around these parts.
Similar resumes, Tomlin further removed from a Championship than McCarthy, Tomlin lost to McCarthy, Tomlin is arguably surrounded by a much better front office, and has failed to produce as Cowher’s team has mostly been replaced.
Just don’t get why folks around here aren’t screaming for his removal, year after year.
Maybe now that the “angry mob” of End McCarthy has gotten their wish, perhaps they will turn their sights on Tomlin?

I dunno what to think of Lewis’ job security after what happened at the end of last season lol. Apparently that front office has a very short term memory.

It was reported yesterday that Lewis' reported 2-year extension he signed after last season was actually a 1-year deal with a team option for 2019, so the notoriously cheap Bengals ownership could move on without owing Lewis anything.

Even if they do, they'll sign Hue.

If anyone needs a very last minute FF QB replacement, Colt McCoy should have a career night.
I’m thinking 350PaYd, 4PaTD, 75 RuYD, 1RuTD, 0 INT
