Detroit Lions announced today that they have hired Mike Disner as Vice President of Football Administration.

Disner joins the Lions after spending the past six seasons (2013-18) with the Arizona Cardinals as the club’s Director of Football Administration. During his time in Arizona, he helped manage player contract negotiations and was directly involved in the strategic planning of the club’s salary cap. He also served as the Cardinals liaison to the NFL Management Council.

Prior to Arizona, Disner worked with the NFL Management Council for four years as Labor Operations Manager (2012) and Labor Operations Coordinator (2009-11). He began his NFL career as a scouting assistant with the New England Patriots in 2007 after working as an intern for the team for two summers (2005 and 2006).

Browns play the Cardinals next year. Baker's stare down of Kingsbury will make his stare down of Hue look like a parting glance.

Also, Kevin Stefanski is coming in for a 2nd interview with the Browns, but word seems to be it's for the OC gig with Freddie Kitchens as HC. Here's hoping that becomes official soon.

Your opinion, you're allowed that. I don't believe he falls into the ranks of Brady/Montana either. However, your comparison to Romo is still just plain silly. Silly enough for you to even say yourself that your opinion and belief is "outnumbered". IMO, your belief is based on your bias against the person as an individual, not the player and his accomplishments, however your comparison is based strictly on his playing abilities and accomplishments.

Quote:
Yeah I don't like him! The public and media rides his D as much as possible for what little he has done compared to other players.
Hmm, interesting, sounds like the same thing the media has done with countless other players on countless other teams, a few other examples being Cam Newton, Colin Kaepernick (even before the kneeling stuff), Richard Sherman, etc. There will always be public media riding the "D" of folks who may or may not be worthy of the "D" riding based on people's own individual opinion. The media thrives on that and it appears you may take it a bit too much to heart and have some personal issues with the guy...

Quote:
His cockiness is highly annoying and he's quick to blame everyone around him except himself.
So, which is it? Is it "I'm by no means saying he's a bad player or knocking off what he has done" or is it that he's highly annoying and in essence is a bad player who blames everyone around him except himself?

Quote:
Don't like it, oh well.
It's not a like versus dislike conversation for me. You made a comment, I commented back, the purpose of discussion forums, I believe?

You have every right to your opinion. It just happens to sound like an opinion of a bitter Lions fan. I guess if you don't like that, the "oh well" is back where it belongs, back with you... oh well.

You fail at reading comprehension. Most people here already know that I think he's overrated, in which case is my opinion that I know I am outnumbered. Which in case also goes with my glorified Romo comment. I know what the majority consensus is around here and everywhere else but that does not mean I think my opinion is "silly"... or else I wouldn't have it. I think it's silly that you and others have taken offense that I dare compare him to Romo! Heaven forbid! Romo was a pretty decent QB who didn't have a great team around him, in which case prohibited him from having much playoff success. Rodgers obviously has had more success than Romo, but not that much. Yeah he has ONE Super Bowl ring, but only ONE. Give Romo a little bit better health instead of being out or playing through cracked ribs, give him a slightly better cast (or just a new coach), and he'd probably have very similar playoffs stats to that of Rodgers. So no, once again, I'm not wrong here saying he's a glorified Romo.

You're right - I don't like him as a person. But I'm not clouding my judgement of him personally with that of his accomplishments. I'm flat out talking what he has done on the field. Can't stand Michael Jordan either but you don't see me saying he's not one of the greatest.

The media does go overboard on a number of issues and players, but they take Rodgers to the extreme.

I'm not addressing the rest. I'm tired of repeating myself.

The #Bucs are signing Bruce Arians to a 4-year deal with a fifth-yaer option, source said. Among the coaches Arians hopes to finalize deals with: Harold Goodwin as Run Game Coordinator/OLine, Byron Leftwich as Pass Game Coordinator and Clyde Christianson as QB coach.row

Make Cody Parkey’s 43-yard field goal attempt and you can get beer for a year.🍺

Goose Island, located a short Uber ride north of downtown Chicago, has come to Parkey’s defense and offered quite the challenge, “kick a 43-yard field goal and win free beer for a year.”

Quote:
“A lot of armchair kickers on here are saying that they could hit that field goal, which we find
DOUBTFUL,” Goose Island tweeted Monday. “You’re gonna sit there on your throne of potato
chips and vape pens and criticize this dude’s athleticism? GET REAL.”

Thank you for not addressing the rest. Of course, "the rest" just would happen to have answered to what I had commented on in regards to your potential "hypocritical" viewpoint. But, thanks for skipping right over that so conveniently...

But, that's okay. I'm good with the brief conversation being over at this point.

Your original reply to my first comment back to you saying "And you are... who?" really solidifies to me why I decide *NOT* to post here all that much.

Sorry I'm not a "Blu-Ray ArchDuke" or a "BluRay Ninja" or "BluRay Prince" or whatever other kind of tag can be placed on someone who posts thousands of one-liners to gain some sort of Blu-Ray.com posting status. So, if I'm not 3l1te enough to respond to, don't waste your time. However, I don't need to have some sort of posting nickname to make me feel like I can be part of a debate/conversation. But, to each their own, I will leave you alone in your pool of spite towards a particular human being. I'll remind myself that if the Lions ever had a chance to have someone of Aaron Rodgers caliber, playing accomplishments, and success on their team, that you'd certainly not be making the same silly (yeah, that's right, silly and ultimately spiteful) comparisons.

I'm sure you'll have your last word, and that's 100% okay with me, I mean... that's how one becomes a "Blu-Ray [insert cool nickname here]". So, have at it. Speaking of tired...

I’m reading a lot of articles about the Dolphins blowing up the entire team and tanking next season to draft Tua, and they are just going to hire an interim coach until they get the team rebuilt. The articles are split on if this is a good idea or not.

Steve Wilks really got a raw deal in his one season with Arizona and takes the fall for the missteps of everyone above him. He lands his first NFL head coach position and what does the GM give him? Sam Bradford, Mike Glennon and Josh Rosen, who I believe will be the biggest bust of the 2018 first round QBs.

Damn I love me some goose ipa, watch this backfire and the first person to attempt the kick makes it.

I just checked out their tweet on twitter and a person posted there is a national convention of soccer coaches scheduled this weekend in Chicago lmao. Someone is going to be winning free beer for a year this weekend.
