Looks like BUF just signed the Jets' old C/G Spencer Long...good luck with all that, the guy is GARBAGE as a center.

Depth signing who can play center or guard. Always nice to add guys who have positional flexibility on the line.

Not discounting your opinion, but didn’t he have a hand injury last season? We signed him on a fairly cheap deal, and it sounds like we view him as a reserve swing lineman. Can play center or guard, which will give you longevity in the NFL.

So AB has finally officially requested a trade but with all of the news stories coming out lately I wonder if teams aren't going to be as aggressive

That I do not recall but he wasn't good as a center. That being said, if you guys didn't pay much for him, by all means he's a solid player for depth especially at guard.

Baltimore has agreement in principle to trade former Super Bowl MVP Joe Flacco to the Broncos, league sources told ESPN. Trade cannot be processed until new NFL league year begins Wednesday, March 13. Teams prohibited from commenting on deal or terms surrounding it.

Interesting move, means they're not sold on any of the QBs at the top of this draft and Keenum will either be a cut or a high-priced back-up.

I mean Flacco is competent enough to pair with a solid (still?) DEN defense, he's not gonna light it up but damn Elway is just absolutely batting .000 with these QB moves whether it's FA signings or drafting.

What would you have him do? Wait for Bridgewater? None of the QBs in this draft will be a franchise guy anytime soon. Flacco is obviously just a stopgap.

I am neither a DEN or Flacco fan so I am indifferent to what they do. My point, which you consistently miss, is that Elway is terrible at signing, drafting QB's for the franchise.
According to ESPN though, Kubiak and Fangio had a lot of input on this decision so maybe this time it'll work out for the short term.
