While I can agree with some of what Allen says, he avoids mentioning what a player should do when they have a down year. Give money back?
If these guys don’t like their salaries/pay structure, they need to hire better lawyers for the upcoming CBA.

I definitely dont think Gruden is any kind of roster genius but he had Jerry Rice and Tim Brown performing as pro bowlers at ages 38 and 34. He found spots for them and exploited their strengths. AB is an alltime great and way younger. i think he’ll earn his pay. Being 31 is the only knock i keep hearing. His prime isnt ending any time soon

Raiders have an agreement in principle to trade G Kelechi Osemele to the NY Jets, sources tell @josinaanderson and me. Trade cannot be processed until Weds, but two sides have agreement in place. Another Raiders’ trade.

Well that trade pays half of AB’s salary . No dead money for Oakland so that’s a big plus. Frees up 10m in 2019 and 11m in 2020. Gives us a 5th rounder back that we gave up this morning. I’ll miss that dude. He’s a monster when he’s healthy

As far as I know he has a pretty damn good deal for his position and I'm pretty sure no one put a gun to his head when he signed it. Some players like his teammate though who had a tag applied to him twice did have a right to beef, Brown though is a baby and really shot his way out of town because his teammate was out playing him weekly!
