Former Patriots’ OT Trent Brown intends to sign a four-year, $66 million contract that includes $36.75 million guaranteed with the Oakland Raiders, per source, making him highest paid OL in NFL history.

Trent Brown was good last year for the Patriots but it's the only good season of his career. I hope he does well but I won't be surprised if he gets cut in two years.

In back-to-back offseasons, Patriots’ offensive line coach Dante Scarnecchia has helped Trent Brown and Nate Solder to record-breaking deals. Scarnecchia deserves commission, if not a place in Canton.

There is no better offensive line coach in the NFL then Dante Scarnecchia imo.

No doubt Brown is mauler though and is a good signing imo. But wow Gruden is using up that cap space pretty quickly and some of the long term numbers here will have the Raiders in a possible bad spot in the future imo.

As far as I know he has a pretty damn good deal for his position and I'm pretty sure no one put a gun to his head when he signed it. Some players like his teammate though who had a tag applied to him twice did have a right to beef, Brown though is a baby and really shot his way out of town because his teammate was out playing him weekly!

If he asked nicely they would've traded him? This was the only way for a player to force a trade.

The Steelers did this to themselves. Brown was underpaid for 7 years and they gave him a contract with low guarantees. Then tried the same with Le'veon.
