Stafford acknowledged last December he was dealing with a back injury.

Another stupid decision by the Lions to let him play then, Bench him heal him get a better draft pick it was a lost season anyways.

I agree that he should not have been playing in a lost season. I read that Stafford wanted to play, to keep his current consecutive game streak alive.

Glad that we benched Carson when his back issues came to light. Playing Stafford with a similar (or worse) injury was unbelievably stupid, especially if he simply wanted to maintain a pointless record. Patricia should know better.

Team doctors need more say in these decisions. Players want to play, but sometimes they don’t think of the big picture.

Kendrick Norton, a DT who was drafted by the Panthers last year and was on the Dolphins roster this year, was involved in a serious auto accident which required the amputation of his arm.
