The Cowboys haven’t focused on giving Elliott a new contract, largely because they don’t have to. They have instead focused on players with more immediate paths to free agency, from defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence (who has signed) to quarterback Dak Prescott and receiver Amari Cooper (who haven’t).

Prescott and Cooper are due to become free agents next year. Elliott, the fourth overall draft pick in 2016, has two years remaining on his rookie deal, given that first-round selections are subject to a fifth-year option.

If Elliot indeed intends to holdout, he’s smart. He has significant value now, and after the next two years his worth to the franchise could plummet — either due to the wear and tear of playing tailback or a possible shift in offensive philosophy away from the team’s run-to-set-up-the-pass-but-still-run-a-lot strategy.

Yeah, I’ve done it several times.
I recently complained about not getting the newly acquired Epix channels included in my premier package and they gave me a few discounts to include lowering the Ticket cost.

I know signing a kicker to a new, possibly, long term deal isn't normally a big deal but the Niners locked up Gould for two, possibly four, years, which is great news for the team, he is solid, clutch. Though part of me thinks we probably could've got something decent from CHI for him haha

Good lord, what a whiner. Keenan Allen is angry about his Madden numbers and is boycotting the game.

In actual NFL news, free agent RB Alex Collins broke his leg and had surgery so I guess that's it for him until 2020.

It seems like practically every player is pissed about their Madden ranking. I've probably seen 20 tweets with players complaining they're too low. Not sure why players care about something so inconsequential.
