Brown's camp warned the NFL of potential legal ramifications during a two-hour grievance hearing Friday in Philadelphia. The league is expected to make a ruling this week. AB has been in limbo the past couple weeks while recovering from a foot injury suffered in a cryotherapy mishap in France, though most suspect his recent absence has more to do Brown's helmet crusade. Despite the distraction it's caused, coach Jon Gruden said the team is still behind Brown as he seeks clarity on the matter. "He has a strong feeling about what he's worn on his head and we're supporting him," said Gruden. Between his foot injury and refusal to comply with the league's new helmet standards, Brown is looking like an easy fade at his current second-round ADP.

My friend and I barely got through the first quarter of Dallas/SF last night. Boring even by pre-season standards lol

Doesn’t sound like Dak is going to give Dallas a discount. Reportedly turned down $30 million/year offer.

Worst O-Line in the league.

I think against the spread harbaugh is like 12-1 & quinn 0-13 in their last preseason games & cowboys almost always do bad.

So bad for so long. It’s been the largest problem with the team for over a decade, followed closely by the absolute inability to cover a TE.

The only way I believe Dak turned down a $30 million/year offer is if didn't contain a lot of guaranteed money and/or was structured in a way where it was backloaded and the actual cash in the first couple (guaranteed years) was much less than $30 million/year. I can't imagine he'd turn down something like Matt Ryan's 5-year, $150 million deal with $94 million guaranteed.

It’s kind of funny, but Jerruh might be on to something here by not paying Dak or Zeke this season. If Zeke holds out the season, he can see what Dak can do sans Zeke. If the team does well, and Dak is a large part of that, he can pay him long term. Meanwhile Zeke has zero leverage this year and will only push everything back a year if he sits out.
As for Cooper, it’s funny how just two years ago he was called “stone hands”. Then he strings together a few good games against some of the worst secondaries in he league last year and he’s now considered top5 talent. Please pay this guy Jerruh!!

Good point about Dak and Zeke. Might be a method to the madness after all.

Rosen needs to start sooner than later. No point in playing Fitzpatrick just to be mediocre at best.

Rishard Matthews was cut by the Saints on Saturday and retires at age 29 today, an example how some athletes commit self-inflicted career suicide. After joining Tennessee and having his two best seasons, he got angry at his reduced role in his third year there -- even though it had only been three games -- and forced them into cutting him. The Jets picked him up a month later where he sucked for five games, and those turned out to be his final games.

Lol, I remember having him on one of my fantasy teams when he was having a pretty good year.

NFL Arbitrator has ruled against AB hes now officially in breach of contract

Quote:
USA Today's Mike Jones reports the arbitrator has ruled against Antonio Brown in his grievance to wear his helmet.

This was fully expected — the NFL's policy is very clear on outdated helmets. Brown has said he would retire if the league didn't allow him to keep his preferred helmet, but that feels like an empty threat. Since coming to Oakland, Brown has been nothing but a headache, showing up late to meetings in addition to off-field injuries and baggage. Brown has no choice but to accept the ruling if he wants to get paid this year. The question is when he'll report back to training camp.

Same here... why I'm glad I found the highlights. I think that'll be the way I go for the rest of the pre-season.
