Man just when you thought that AB helmet issue was resolved. Guess Mayock is playing bad cop to Gruden's good cop for now.

Mayock made the right call. Someone in a position of authority has to call AB out and stop enabling him.

And yeah, Portnoy threatened to fire anyone at Barstool who even looked into potentially unionizing, which would apparently be a flagrant violation of labor laws had he actually gone through with it. Last night's episode of Succession was partly about a situation like this.

AB never ceases to amaze me. I figured by week 7, maybe 8, some kind of drama would unfold between him and the Raiders. But two weeks into pre-season and the team is already sick of him.......that's a level of commitment unparalleled.

I think this is all posting by AB, he has too big of an ego to actually retire. Not that he or the team are in any position for it but this latest stunt has killed any future potential trade value for him. No one is going to put up with this BS

For his sake, I hope Josh Gordon can stay on the right path but anyone think he will even make it through a full season?

Anyone ever done an auction draft for fantasy? My league's trying it out this year, it'll be my first time drafting this way.

About to run a mock draft just to get a feel for it, but any tips or strategies before the real thing (this Sunday) would be appreciated lol

The Orlando Apollos managed to win seven games (7-2) before the league disbanded.

My Miami Dolphins also won seven games, but lost nine. (7-9)

The Jacksonville Jaguars and Tampa Bay Bucs both went 5-11 in 2018.

So I guess the Apollos were the best pro football team in Florida, a least for a few months. I wonder what the new Tampa Bay XFL team will do?

Oh well, at least I still have my Clemson Tigers. If only Trevor Lawrence could become a Dolphin and anyone else could become the owner.

My main league has been doing an auction for about seven years now. I enjoy it a lot more than snake drafts. Really not much advice I can give other than make out a rough budget of how much you want to spend on each position. Be prepared to spend a decent chunk of your budget (maybe 30%) on a high-end starting running back and another chunk (around 25%) on a high-end starting receiver.

AB filed a new grievance over his helmet, saying he wasn't given a full calendar year grace period to find a suitable replacement.

I'm sure this will rub some people the wrong way but in a new interview with GQ Baker Mayfield questioned, as many others have, the NYG pick of Daniel Jones as the QB of the future. Also said his apology for planting the OK flag after beating Ohio State was a forced apology and he has no real regrets about it.
I remember that game and it rubbing people the wrong way but it was a big game, college ball, he got caught up in the emotion of it and I never saw the big deal.

I have no horse in the Baby Baker/ODB/NYG drama. I just scratch my head when Baby Baker makes all these dumb statements that he doesn’t need to be making. I’m sure most fans want his actions to speak louder than his words. So far he hasn’t won anything. Now, after all these senseless statements he literally has to produce this year or the backlash will be epic.
ODB is a toxic clown, and if Cleveland isn’t careful he will drag Baby Baker right down that road, and no team wants their QB going that route.
He would be wise to take a page from the Brady “tow the company line” playbook. Seems to have worked out quite well for Tom Terrific.

Edit: I just read the ESPN article and they literally have a time line of all Baby Baker’s trash talk!
That’s when you know there’s an issue.

Its considered disrespectful and petty. It would be the same as someone going into Dallas and celebrating on the 50 yard line star in the house Jerrauh built if they didn't play for Dallas.

Truthfully it was a kid enjoying the moment putting the final nail in the coffin after a HUGE win. Its OSU being butthurt but its OSU so let them rot

Off the field, I am but I think it's time for him to exit the league and get his life together. The guy has had FIVE chances to figure it out and yet the NFL stills kowtow to him with the re-instatement. I'm a big mental health advocate but it's clear it's professional football is major distraction in his life.
