let's not forget that when he started with the patriots, edelman was a punt returner on special teams. but somehow with the patriots system he becomes a number one receiver and super bowl mvp. and all the people hating brown, hasn't he led the league in receptions the past five years? that's on a steelers team where ben sat out for periods of time every year... so it's not even like he was crushing it all season long. and now he has a chance for a ring. you think he'll still be wacky? when last year he missed the playoffs and he thought he was going to play in buffalo (nixed the trade, because of course he did) and then went to a garbage raiders team that was embarrassing to watch.... and just happens to go to not only the defending champs but also the super bowl favorite? whatever you got to tell yourself. don't you have a rapist as your avatar? |

Brown very well could be a model citizen with the Patriots. I can’t see into the future. However, given his past, I think it’s very fair to wonder if he will toe the line and do the things that are expected of him. Two teams completely bailed on one of the most talented players in the NFL in a short amount of time. Let us not forget that. |

First off, he's a cancer. And a malignant one at that. Secondly, the teams didn't bail on him. He asked to be let go becauese he wasn't getting his way like a spoiled man-child. Let us not forget that. I say good riddance.

As of now they have actually charged AB to be in Oakland
![]() I don't know what to think of this yet, as a Patriots fan I cant lie because yeah this is kind of holy shit! But this guy simply didn't deserve this the way he shot his way out of town. Like I said a few months back in the NBA thread, these guys are seeing what is happening in the NBA and will be doing the same thing. With that happy opening day everyone. ![]() |

With that kind of money on the line I would think it's a matter of when not if.
He could very well end up winning some back and coming out better on the other end and also getting to steer to a team of his choice, essentially much like the NBA guys have been doing although I think this one was even worse. Imo Rodger should do something to prevent these kind of situations where players are allowed to commit to a team, then change their mind right away and force their way out of town. Don't ask me how lol but I hope he is not complacent like Silver has been with the NBA. |
