You can have all the offensive weapons in the world, but it means jack if you have a coach making horrible play calls and an offensive line that can't block longer than two seconds. If they can start calling plays designed to get the ball out of Baker's hand quicker and not design for that big play, which takes 3-5 secs to develop, then they can get the offense going on. Also, Higgins is out, and he is Baker's safety blanket for when the play breaks down. Before he could just scrabble and find Higgins open and throw it to him. Now when the pocket collapses he is trying to find someone open and tends to force things.

Everyone in the offseason only focused on the addition of OBJ and the possibilities without taking into consideration that they got considerably weaker on the oline and an inexperienced HC/OC. And it's showing. If they never got OBJ, I doubt people would have been so quick to put Cle as Super Bowl contenders, nor division champ contenders. They were always a wild card contender going into the season this year.

Drew Rosenhaus is still out and about touting Antonio Brown and that teams are interested in him. You have take a shower to remove all the oil and slime you contracted just from listening to him.

As a realist Lions fan I fully expect a blowout this weekend with the loss of Slay. My hope is they can keep it close for at least 3 Quarters but Mahomes has been on fire. I either see 4-5 TD before halftime or a 4th Quarter thats just gut wrenching.

Then again there are time when the LOLions play to the level team they are playing. No idea how it why it happens but it does.
