With so many players forcing their way out of contracts, why not cause some ripples if you aren’t 100% happy? I was kind of surprised when I saw the headline, but wouldn’t mind having Diggs on the squad. I would be very surprised if he left Minnesota this season. Ditto for Ramsey in Jax for what it’s worth.
All this does bring up some major red flags for the owners heading into the upcoming CBA negotiations. It would be in their best interest to nip these mass defections in the bud ASAP. It’s bad for business.

bad for business? get out of here with that nonsense.

maybe they shouldn’t have signed garbage kirk cousins to such a big deal when he is average at best. if anything, the team is worse with him. and you thought a guy who has a terrible record against winning teams deserved a fully guaranteed contract? and you thought you didn’t need peterson anymore? and you thought sam bradford wasn’t garbage? but sure, let’s not address that.

i don’t understand the rationale that ownership or management is above criticism, but not players. especially when being stuck on a garbage team
hampers future employment. the owners will still make money regardless.

all that “trust the process” bs. it’s owners and management not wanting to be held accountable for the mistakes. and really, lots of teams are terrible because they make poor decisions.

An owner will be in play for decades, a player will be in play for a few years. Owners can play the long game. Yes players boycotting the deals they signed is bad for business. They will always be replaceable. Owners not so much.
Of course bad contracts will happen, but that’s just the nature of the beast. Players holding teams hostage to force leverage needs to be nipped in the bud. The owners know this and you can bet it’s going to be a bargaining chip on the table during the next CBA.

My early thoughts on the plight that is the Washington Redskins:

1) Jay Gruden wasn’t the problem
2) Haskins won’t be the answer

I'm here for the 9:30AM football. Just figuring out what to drink, Bloody Mary or something else.

Was debating about picking up Kyle Allen this week and give Wentz a breather, but couldn’t do it.
So I expect Allen to explode for 50pts this week.

Brutal 3 game road trip for Philly starts today. Only team in the league that has one this season. Thanks Bryce!

Lol, pickle!

Winston is fools gold. Gifted with great receiving options and he’s mediocre at best.

I have no doubt the league is heading for a strike, both sides are just way apart right now and if you look at the other main leagues these guys take a more brutal pounding and are paid far less with no guaranty's.

The owners better be ready to give back more then reducing summer camps to no 2 a days this time. Less preseason games, higher salary caps and guarantied contracts are going to be a few of the main fighting points imo, the biggest will be a reduced roll for the commissioner to play judge, jury and exicutionor.

Would be nice if the NFL explored the option of moving Thursday night games(sans holidays) to Sunday morning. I’m already invested to the tune of 8hrs on Sunday anyway another 3hrs wouldn’t be a big deal.
Or reel Monday games into Sunday morning. Never been a big fan of weeknight games.

Good grief TB is just horrible. Winston is not good...at all. The defense can’t tackle.
Howie please strike a deal for Evans or Godwin. These guys deserve better.
