Glad Philly stood pat. Seems like teams were asking for quite a bit this deadline.
Good on Howie for not budging.

Apparently the Jets wanted a second-rounder for Robby Anderson. I think we should've pulled the trigger...

No thank you. 4th or maybe a 3rd.
The problem is Philly had no real leverage going into the deadline, so any smart GM would set a high asking price knowing Philly(with all the injuries) would be feeling desperate.
Also keep in mind Philly is one of the oldest teams in the league. They will need draft capital to rebuild.
As much as I like Peters and Sproles, these guys are just dead weight. They miss more games than they play. I’m glad they like playing for Philly but it’s time to cut bait. Give them both jobs on the coaching staff, and use that salary for younger players.

With Darby and Mills healthy, our defense is hopefully gonna get better and stay healthy. Anderson is young enough that if we sign him long-term, a second-rounder isn't so bad in the long run. We need WRs to have any sort of chance this season. DeSean can't stay healthy and Agholor is... Agholor. Alshon is our only somewhat reliable option along with the Ertz/Goedert tandem at TE. Another pair of hands would've been great for Carson, both for this season and going forward.

TE's love playing against the Cardinals this year. They have allowed more yards (677) to that position than any other team along with 8 TD's in 8 games. Next up, George Kittle..........

Those guys are mediocre, at best. They certainly aren’t shut down corners that the Eagles have forever lacked.
As for Anderson, yeah he would be nice to have but if Groh can’t figure out how to make the offense click from opening kick off...I’m not sure Jerry Rice could save this offense.
I’d be amazed if Groh is on the team after the season.

Baker reacting to a question from a Cleveland reporter that he doesn't have good history with:

https://twitter.com/i/status/1189599127295922177

His response on Twitter:

Everybody wants to hear the truth until they actually get it.... I am who I am and always have been. Don’t call it emotional when it’s convenient and then passion when it fits. I care about winning, so yeah I’m frustrated. If I was to act like it’s okay to lose, then y’all would

You guys don't live in the area, whereas I do. This "reporter" is local Tony Grossi, and is a piece of crap as most "reporters" are. But here's a rundown, since certain people just pounce on Baby Goat.

Baker Mayfield hit his breaking point with the repetitive questions in his press conference on Wednesday. After being interrupted by an interviewer who was trying to steer his answer and coax discord, Mayfield angrily cut his press conference short and left the podium.

The Browns QB was in the process of answering a question about the end of the first half and the failed drive when he was stopped by ESPN’s Tony Grossi from finishing his explanation. Mayfield snapped.

“Stop saying ‘but’,” Mayfield said sternly, making eye contact with Grossi. “I just told you the clock was running and we had a penalty. Do you want to give them the ball back?

No. You don’t play. You don’t know. It’s plain and simple.”

Grossi then asked if Mayfield was happy the drive failed. That really set off a bemused Mayfield.

“Was I happy with the drive?! No, we didn’t score points. That’s the dumbest question you could ask. What?”

At that point, Mayfield ended the exchange and the press conference.

Honestly? Mayfield gets way too emotional with the press. Needs to learn to minimize answers and then walk away.

Only thing he needs to learn how to do is win.
