Of course they don't need to, but that won't stop them from repeatedly trying lol. Doing it this way actually kinda makes sense.

It'd make more sense to give Canada a team or two.

Ah yeah, or Mexico City. Too bad NFL's already spent the money in London and now they need to see some return from it.

Part of that is definitely on Spanos... one of the cheap owners. Very unfortunate that there are crappy owners.

Lets give a little blame to the people of San Diego who don't even support the team in good times never mind bad, great city to visit and explore but terrible for sports teams imo.

The NFL has had a hard on for London for over two decades now and nothing is going to stop a team from eventually being located there. I look at it realistically and wonder who in the hell would want to relocate to London for 4 months out of the year and not to mention travel will most likely consist of multiple week blocks were they play and stay in America. The pay scales will be different with the extreme taxes they have over there, I think they have the fan support for a team, but the logistics to make it all work will be a nightmare imo.

Gotta make it fair for London team

Maybe back to back road games so they don't have to fly home

A positive would be the potential reemergence of the London Monarchs from the NFL Europe days

Biz is right on this one, Spanos was a cheap owner, mismanaged the pursuit of a new stadium, wanted the city of San Diego to pretty much pay for it all. San Diego actually loved the Chargers but years of Spanos soured enough of them, I'm sure, to make them indifferent to the team moving.
That said the league approving three different teams to move, two of them to the same city/market, in the course of one offseason was incredibly greedy and short sighted. While I do feel bad for fans, and the players to some extent, I love that some of this stuff is failing and will have negative financial implications on the league.

I'm still baffled the NFL was so determined to get not 1 but 2 teams into L.A. despite the fact that multiple teams have left it in past decades.

Chargers can easily fill the void in St. Louis. San Antonio previously expressed interest. Oakland will be available (I know, 0 chance). Bring them to Columbus Or, you know, go back to SD? Hell, I think it'd be cool if Hawaii or Alaska had a team.

But London? Pfft
Or even further south like Missouri Alabama and Mississippi, could even look at Toronto, Calgary, and Winnipeg as well, but I agree no London team.

Cam Newton has been placed on IR, meaning he is out for the rest of the season. With Allen filling in and the team not really missing a beat, I wonder if Cam's days in CAR are done, especially if a team in need of a QB makes them an offer they can't refuse.

Also, Nick Foles will return to the starting lineup for the Jags after their bye week off

Given Cam's injury history, I think it's a discussion worth having.

A healthy Cam is a top five qb in this league, but he hasn't been healthy in forever.

When I heard about the foot injury, I was like "There's no way this man is going to be back this season."

I had a simple strained tendon in my right foot, nothing near to what Cam is going through. It was nearly a solid year of swelling, limping, and fresh sprain-like pain until it finally healed and I could do awesome things like put a shoe on comfortably and walk in public without people noticing. *L*

And I didn't have to worry about 300-lb men running after me and trying to knock my head off.

If I am Carolina, I trade him following this season.

They say Cam hasn't been good because he isn't eating meat. He is too skinny now to be taking those hits.

What hits? He wasn't able to make it through a single preseason game at his new weight for that theory to even get tested.

Besides, Cam's "skinny" is still pretty big.

It's just another goofy fan theory.

Cam's days in CAR are indeed numbered, of this I have no doubt. It's easy to read the writing on the wall.

He has been broken for years now, the hits were from past seasons and it has all caught up to him like it does to 100% of all other rushing qb types. Lamar Jackson is essentially the next Cam Newton type to have an abbreviated career if he doesn't change the way he plays.
