The franchise has been crap ever since Modell hijacked the real Browns to Baltimore and they've had one semi-competent owner (Al Lerner) and two utter buffoons (Randy Lerner and the Haslams) since. Every head coach since the return has been a disaster save for possibly Butch Davis (Davis the GM was a disaster, though). This season was supposed to be different; the first in over a decade where there was actual hope, but instead it's become a different brand of shit than years prior. I get that Mayfield is polarizing (but if he was the Eagles QB, I bet you'd be singing a different tune), I get that Garrett just embarrassed the franchise with his actions, I get laughing that Kitchens is in way over his head, and I even understand your disdain for OBJ (him being a former Giant), but, seriously, what's with the irrational hatred? Or are you just one of those douchebags who just loves to pile on? You're an Eagles fan. The Browns are not even in the same conference. They've sucked since Bill Belichick was the head coach. Enjoy your recent Super Bowl triumph (something I'm pretty sure I'll never see the Browns experience in my lifetime), save your venom for the Giants, Cowboys and Redskins and otherwise, just give it a rest and shut the f*ck up. |

You can be a bad team and still be likable. This Browns squad isn’t even likable. This was an absolute disaster in the making. All the fuel was added with only a match needed to blow it all up. I will cheer for the last 20 years of Browns teams before ever cheering for this band of idiots. I kind of feel bad for Browns fans as they drank in the fools gold kool-aid that is Baby Baker and Freddie Kitchens. OBJ, while a clear talent, is a total head case. We’ve seen past headcase WR’s fizzle away into obscurity with no rings, I suspect that will be the case here as well. It’s no coincidence the Browns lead the league in player ejections, because the culture there is toxic. What happened Thursday night was a mockery, and just shows how low this team will stoop because of a lack of proper leadership. The only question going forward is will this be the low point? |

People need to quite with the overreaction with Cleveland. That overreaction is why Cleveland is always firing coaches every year, or two if they're lucky, and giving up on QBs after one year, and usually with no weapon or backs. The media overhyped hyped them since they were ****ing themselves from the possible Baker to OBJ highlight reels, and that Cleveland was in the win all mode now. If they never got OBJ, then people would had realized that this team is in the second year of rebuild mode (would have been third if they kept Williams as HC) with an inexperienced HC that is a work in progress, just like Baker. You don't hire someone like Freddie if you're thinking Super Bowl that same/upcoming season.
While I didn't expect things to be this bad, things can still workout and provide some stability with the franchise. They have their QB, no matter how bad some don't want Baker to succeed, he will be fine. His main issues have been mistrust of his line protecting him long enough, too much thinking in the pocket and some mechanics issues as he throws. All are correctable. This was always a wild card hope type of season for Cleveland. I do wish Dorsey forced Freddie to give Monken the play calling duties, at least for the first year, to give Freddie a chance to learn what it means to be a HC first, before adding OC duties to plate. Except for the Garret/Mason fight, Cleveland performed much better Thursday. While Pitts offense was bad due ton if injuries from all their playmakers on that side of ball, the Pits defense are healthy, or mostly, and are considered a Top 5 D since getting Fitspatrick. The offense held up quite nice and Chubb was able to add another 92 yds rushing to be the first person to get to 1,000 yards this season in the league. Cook and McCaffrey will surpass that tomorrow when they play, but it's amazing Chubb has that much considering the 'awful' play of the offense this year. They only have Pitt and Baltimore to really challenge them the rest of the season, at least on the defensive side for Pitt. So, the team should look much better moving forward. |

Kudos to the NFL for rolling out the red carpet and not getting backed into a corner by risking further litigation from the very person that already sued them. If Kaep loved the game as much as he claims he would’ve been playing north of the border and showcasing his skills there. But he doesn’t want to play. He would rather be an activist. Good for him. Now he’s got all day to wear his pig socks and bring about all the awareness he possibly can. Good riddance. Oh by the way...were there going to be any defensive players in this circus? Because hitting wide open WRs on the playground is much different than actually reading defenses. Something he really struggled with just before he opted out of his contract. |

And the same morons keep telling us this HOF QB is just out there for any team to sign. Ha. I think today's little stunt on his part of moving the location just guaranteed he will never play in the NFL again. What team would want that circus?
