Not sure if anyone here has ESPN+, but I am very glad I recently subscribed (part of the Hulu and Disney+ bundle). I get more sports to watch now, but I also learned that there are some originals only on ESPN+. One of those originals is Peyton's Places, which I easily got hooked on. It's pretty fun to watch.

Holy sh-t!! All of the sudden, during his appeal process of course, Garrett is accusing Rudolph of using a racial slur and that's what set him off. Umm why bring it up now and not in the immediate aftermath (rhetorical)? How come no one else involved is saying that and does anyone really think Pouncey would stick up for his teammate the way he did if it were true?
If Garrett is lying, which he more than likely is, Rudolph should take some legal action.

Unless they got audio how will they prove it.

That being said the more I hear about Mason Rudolph the more I dislike him. Quit playing the victim.

It comes across as something his agent or attorney (or Richard Sherman) told him to say in an attempt to reduce his suspension. Garrett spoke right after the game and this doesn’t come out until now?

Garrett's suspension has been upheld so it looks like the league office didn't buy his story
Pouncey's suspension has been reduced to two games

Garrett did insinuate Mason said something to him when reporters asked him about it last week. Said they gotta go look at it.

Pouncey didn't look like he was hurting Garrett at all.

Rudolph got fined and people know he isn't innocent so at least there's that.

Pouncey definitely played a part though and of course the kicking.

A fine is nothing. He was a total b!tch about everything when he started it, lol. At least give him one game.

Having a real hard time believing Garrett's racial slur claim. He was apologetic in the immediate aftermath, never mentioning anything of the sort until now. This sounds like some lame defense his attorneys drummed up for the appeal.

Sounds like if anything, this sudden claim of racism may have hurt him. Whoever listened to this appeal probably just rolled their eyes at that claim. I really thought he'd get it reduced to the remainder of the season, from indefinite.

Terrible move by Garrett to accuse Rudolph of a racial slur. I'll play devil's advocate and say maybe that's why Rudolph wanted to just move on from the incident by not dragging it out and taking things to court, because he was afraid that the slur could come to light. But like others have said, why say nothing for a week? Garrett could've been winning in the court of public opinion before his appeal hearing ever happened. Just dumb.

Why do you hate the guy so much? He has said he holds no grudge against Garrett. Nothing he did deserves more than a minor fine at most. The punishment for all involved makes sense to me, aside from my thinking that Garrett's suspension should be rest of 2019, not indefinite. He likely plays in week 1 next season anyway.

I don't condone what Garrett or Rudolph did However I will say that there is no reason to knock a man over the head with a weapon because he called you a name racial or not. People today need to grow thicker skin, now granted no I do not know what it is like through the eyes of a black man / woman to be called what I assume Rudolph is being accused of however when I see today's generation do it with the were taking it back mindset it does open the door for the word to be used by others whether it is appropriate or not.

Just because Garrett didn't say anything to reporters or media doesn't mean it wasn't said. He'd probably still realized that even if Mason did use a racial slur, that still doesn't justify swinging the helmet at Mason's head. So, why bring it up to the media. I understand mentioning that the review board, since they were probably looking into his thought process at the time. I am not saying that I agree that Mason used a racial slur, just that I can see why he wouldn't mention till his review hearing.

Also, I am surprised they didn't limit the suspension to just six games. It has been noted that the CBA doesn't allow the commish to give an indefinite suspension for an 'on the field act' incident.

They're waiting for the off-season to reduce his suspension. Gotta look tough for optics.

I had no problem with him until that game. He instigated and had tried to take Myles' helmet off, and when Myles retaliates, then he plays the victim card... man up. I have no problem with what Myles did like so many others do. I understand that Myles should be suspended and that's fine, although I do think his suspension is too long. But Mason should have had 1 game at the least.

Sounds to me like they concluded what Garrett did was not part of the natural flow of the game it can be considered off field, rather than on field. It was an assault taking place well after the previous play ended.

Mason is a midget next to Garrett. This is like claiming my 3 year old niece could have seriously hurt me when she kicked my leg recently. It just isn't the case. FWIW, I think indefinite is too long for Myles.

The whole thing started while the play was still continuing. And Mason charging towards after Garrett while a Decastro was trying to calm Myles down kept it going. So, in my eyes it was still an 'on the field act' no matter how long the scuffle took. However, the league wasn't ever going to change Myles's suspension.

Myles: 6' 4", 271 pounds
Mason: 6' 5", 235 pounds

When you're adults, size shouldn't matter. If you're going to mouth off, then back it up. Right now Mason is that stupid little yip yap poodle "dog" that is an ankle biter and then cries when the big dog barks back.
