Is it always his fault? Not really, but you could say the same for any of those guys. Wilson's one play away from being 2-0 and costing Brady one of his rings. Ultimately I don't think anyone could've predicted after Rodgers' first Super Bowl that he'd never make it back there for the rest of the decade.
Drew Brees is kind of like that. He's played great in the playoffs throughout his career, but is only 8-8 in playoff games with only the one Super Bowl. In 7 of 8 playoff losses Brees's teams have lost by a TD or less, so many in fluky, heartbreaking last second fashion.

Antonio Brown turned himself in to police. First sane thing he's done. Maybe it can be his first step to turning it around.

New Orleans Saints possibly tried for help cover up Church criminal allegations.

Of all teams....the Saints.

Classy speech by Eli. Pretty much underscores his career: a class act all the way.
He’s definitely HoF bound. Well deserved.

Sounds like something that could end with forcing the owner to sell?

Having to sell the team would be pretty extreme. My guess is once the investigation concludes the owner will have had some lieutenant(s) fall on the sword....or take one for the team.
Then there’s possible league punishment. Or whatever 31 other owners decide to do with one of their own.

Maybe if the Saints get new ownership, they can try to make a name trade with the Utah Jazz.

Yes, exactly. One of the greatest QBs on such a mediocre offense. Who knows what his potential could have been this past decade. But we can add the "ifs" to anyone and then you get a fantasy team!

If you're comparing "regular" season vs "playoff" season, that includes more than just championship games. His playoff stats are 11-8 record, 40 TDs, 12 Ints, and 100.0 rating (4th all-time and 2nd among active).

The 49ers with 27-0 at half had nothing to do with Rodgers. That was the horrific job from Pack defense of attempting to stop Niners run game.

At least for the logical thinking crowd.
Yes, a lot of factors go into moving players to different teams. Just food for thought.

Tom Benson managed to turn his image around remarkably after winning that Super Bowl. Tom Benson tried his best to relocate the Saints out of New Orleans even before Katrina, and kept on trying even as the city was reeling in the aftermath. At that time his image was on par with FEMA and Dubya in New Orleans.

Only Brees and the good will from winning a Super Bowl made most forget Benson was a scumbag. Not surprised in the least that his wife is also a terrible person.

Mediocre offenses don't go 13-3, especially when they only won 6 games the year before. In 12 years with Rodgers as the starting QB for Green Bay, they have had 9 seasons with winning records (8 of them with 10 or more wins). I hope you're not implying that he's had a mediocre offense his whole career.

Nope, just championship games, the second most important game of the season. Thought that was pretty clear in my post.

So his INT and 2 fumbles in the first half contributed nothing to the score, lol okay.

he’s really a mediocre at best quarterback who made two lucky throws and was carried by a great defense.

yes. he’s so classy for going 6-10 or worse the majority of the last decade in the worst division in football and then allowing the giants to pay almost 25 million a year. he’s so good, he was a .500 quarterback.

Eli in 16 seasons missed the playoffs 10 times. In 6 postseasons he went one and done 4 times and won the SB 2 times mainly being carried by the defense. He was clutch in the big game. He's also had some of the luckiest catches in the history of the game.

He's been very durable so he has respectable passing stats. He's borderline HoF. No way is he first ballot. I'm biased so I don't want to see him get in.

Eli has two Super Bowl rings, two Super Bowl MVP’s, 57,000+ yards, 366 touchdowns, and he is a Manning. He will have no problems making the Hall of Fame.

Didn't Alex Smith have six offensive coordinators in his first six seasons? That's got to mess with development. Who knows how Aaron Rodgers would've handled it. Who knows how Smith would've turned out if he sat behind Brett Favre for three years.

Maybe David Carr and Tim Couch wouldn't have been destroyed if they hadn't been picked by expansion teams. Where would Russell Wilson be right now if he had been drafted by a team that thought he was nothing but a game manager, to paraphrase Ron Jaworski.

A lot of QB success has to do with being in the right place at the right time. Kurt Warner might've never had a career if Trent Green hadn't gotten hurt. Same thing may happen with Gardner Minshew now.
