49ers are who we thought they were: Kinda overrated on defense, beating up on the Vikings (coming in on 5 1/2 days rest) and a Packers team without the weapons that a Kansas City team would have.

Congrats to the Chiefs.

I wouldn't hang much on the defense. Niners D played Mahomes about as well as one could possibly hope. They pressured him most of the night.

If you told me Mahomes would have a 78 QB rating with 2 picks before the game I would have assumed the Niners would win easily. The fault lies mostly with Jimmy G and the Niners inability to move the ball late. Well, that and nearly all major calls favoring the Chiefs.

Happy to see Andy Reid finally get one.

Glad to see Damien Williams winning it too. I thought he was great during his time with the Dolphins.

Most of all, I love one of my favorite Clemson WRs, Sammy Watkins getting a ring.

It was a good game.

I lived in KC for about a year in the 90s. I know that place is going insane right now.

The San Fran defense is good, but all these superlatives coming in to this Super Bowl were ridiculous.

Patrick's picks were more from bad throws (like throwing behind Hill) than from the defensive pressure. Mahomes was pretty clean through most of the game, but he played erratically until the fourth quarter.

Let's be fair here, pretty much nobody thought all that much of Mahomes coming out of college. There's a decent chance Mahomes would have still been on the board at 20 or so if the Chiefs didn't take him at 10. Most thought the Chiefs were foolish taking him over Watson. I, along with many others, considered Mahomes a Big-12 system QB who wouldn't translate to the NFL.

Same. I remember even Chiefs fans were pissed, not knowing WTF KC was doing picking him at 10. Pretty sure just about every expert gave the Chiefs C's or worse on that pick when it happened. The criticisms were fair. I watched him play in college and while he had strengths, there was little there to think this guy was the next once in a generation QB. You just never know with some guys.
