I wouldn't be surprised if Andy Reid put in some special sauce for that 3rd and 15 play when down by 10. Maybe it was a play they had never used before and made just for late game 3rd-and-long situations in the SB. How else could the receiver get so wide open? The defense seemed to be fooled big time.

Damien Williams should have been the MVP.

Possibly, but you know how it goes - the QB always gets the benefit of the doubt.

The Niners will still be considered Super Bowl champs - in Africa, El Salvador, Haiti and other third world parts of the world.

Not sure about Mahomes being MVP but I guess when in doubt, default to the QB.

"The winner is chosen by a panel of 16 football writers and broadcasters and, since Super Bowl XXXV in 2001, fans voting electronically. The media panel's ballots count for 80 percent of the vote tally, while the viewers' ballots make up the other 20 percent."

I Goog'd that.

Mahomes just said that it was a play they had used against New England last season, and that the key was QB protection because it was such a long throw.

Nah, poor parts of the world is where the pre-printed championship gear for the losing championship team typically goes. A Bills fan at work once brought up the idea that people in the third world might think Buffalo won 4 straight Super Bowls.

Now that I think of it, both Super Bowl victories for Suggs came against the Niners, playing for different teams.
