Peter King, aka hot air, positing Philly is looking to trade for Cooks. This makes zero sense.
Setting aside the fact that Cooks has had 5 concussions and is only 26, why would they give up picks when they could’ve had Anderson and/or Perriman for zero picks?
I guess quarantined sports writers are scrapping the bottom of the news barrel for clicks.

I suppose it's kinda believable if the pressure is getting to Howie that he needs to make a splash at WR, given all the moves that have happened elsewhere with big names. But I agree with you, I don't think it's a smart move on our part.

Eagles/Cooks has been rumored for a couple weeks now. I don’t think the Rams have yet realized how soft the market is for him. They aren’t getting a high pick.

So divisional winners still keep the top four seeds. I don't think we need a seventh playoff team per conference but I'm not about to complain about getting more football. I just think the re-seeding of teams based on actual performance was a better issue to address.

NFL will get from CBS & NBC a total of about $145 million.

If its not making as $$ as it could then it was broken.

Exactly, show me the money!
I was a little meh on the initial idea of playoff expansion but have warmed up to it.
I’ve been a long time NHL fan and definitely enjoy that playoff grind. The play-in game has worked out for baseball.
This will be another hit for the NFL.

Adding another team to the postseason for each conference isn't that big of a deal. At least it's not the playoff cluster**** that the MLB is thinking about.

It’s not a big deal, I just don’t see the need for it.

I like the change. We’re usually 7-9. Gives us hope lol

What puzzles me is that the CBS Wildcard game will only be airing on Nickelodeon in a special kids-presentation.

No.

CBS will broadcast one additional Wild Card game on January 10 with kickoff at approximately 4:40 p.m. ET.

The game will also be available via a livestream on CBS All Access.

Additionally, as part of CBS’ coverage, a separately produced telecast of the game will air on Nickelodeon, tailored for a younger audience.

Three games on Saturday, three games on Sunday? It’s like Thanksgivng Day, but no guarantee Dallas & Detroit will be playing. Sounds good to me.

Wow, just read that Wimbledon was cancelled.
That’s pretty shocking, and doesn’t bode well for sports being played any time soon. I know the NFL has deep pockets and his pretty powerful, but if a high percentage of: team staff/players & production staff show symptoms, there’s not much the NFL can do.
At the very best, we will be lucky if only sports teams have an asterisk for the 2019/2020 seasons, in their respective record books.
I dread to think of the worst case scenario.

Definitely sucks, although I like the chances of not seeing Philadelphia.

I think at the bare minimum, a delayed start to the season is best case scenario for us.

I'm hoping, at the very least, we can get to the point of games being held without live spectators by late summer. I shudder at the thought of not getting any NFL for possibly another year and a half.

Logistically, I don't see a scenario where you are going to have games played in empty stadiums. If the fans can't make it, then the teams and staff can't make it either. Think about it.
