I blame Jason for that more than any single player. Hope that useless coach enjoys life up north in the frigid New York area.

But...but...you tore up McCarthy when he was with GB, now he’s your savior?
Funny how that works out.

LOL I don't think McCarthy is a savior but I think he's a huge upgrade over the clapping moron. Time will tell, I do think Parcells was a better coach and I still remember how he did way back in 2003-2006.

Wade had a better showing of the three.
Hard to win with a meddlesome owner. For another example see: Snyder, Dan.

Wade Phillips was justifiably removed after the utter collapse in 2010. The downside was we were then saddled with the clapping idiot for 10 years. Early indicators are McCarthy is being meddled with less than Jason was but time will tell. Always felt Jason was too safe and predictable and "by the process" to be a good NFL coach.

There's that knock on McCarthy that he never had a team without a HOF QB. We'll see how he does with Dak and Zeke.

Dallas may be better for a season or two just because McCarthy is new and fresh blood will invigorate things. And by better, I mean a division title. (We won it this past season, which virtually guarantees that we won't win it this season.) But in the long run, I don't see how McCarthy is much of an upgrade over Garrett.

I’d have concerns over the guy that had one of the true greats at QB in his prime and could only manage one ring out of it.

Can the season just start already? Can't wait to watch Tampa Brady.

I doubt seriously that we have football this year in any capacity, the cities do not want those stadiums full when it can spread Covid 19 easy. I would imagine January is when sports start again and at that point well get a shortened NBA and NHL season before MLB resumes in full next year once the vaccine for Covid 19 is able to be produced and distributed.

If the season does start, there won’t be any fans allowed in the stadiums.
Also PGA has already announced a June start date.

Edit: This becomes the widespread alternative to no resuming things in some sort of capacity.

Will be hard to do that if courses are still closed

I think it’s much more likely than not that we have a football season. It’s just a question if fans will be allowed to attend.

Courses won’t be closed, except to fans. Golf would be the best sport for social distancing as its non-contact.

You can view this pandemic as a wartime siege. A large portion of the worlds population is hunkered down in the collective castle while outside the economy is being run by a fraction of the workforce. Eventually that economy will crumble to ruin unless staffed. Meanwhile it’s like death by a 1000 cuts. It’s a very tough situation. Health and the economy have to be able to coexist, but this can’t last forever. Sure a family may have their health but what if they lose their house as a result? Just a small example.
This is history in the making. Unfortunately the wrong side of history.

Or if fans want to attend. I don’t know about you, but unless I’m vaccinated or have been medically shown to have built up an immunity...Mancave for me. Of course I’m a bad example, as I can’t stand large crowds and that was pre-pandemic. Lol, definitely have zero desire to visit crowded events now. But I’m sure many won’t be so quick to buy season tickets.

What about the 53-man roster and all the coaches being around each other from both teams plus the referees. It just doesn't make sense to me.

With all the money on the line from lots of different parties, I have confidence they can figure something out.

Courses are closed in Michigan and many states right now. Anything non essential is shut down. California is also one of the states courses are closed, there are currently 25 states that have all courses closed, and 15 pending. The economy is already screwed, however the numbers from China are promising once things reopen there was a store in China that did 2.7 million in sales in 1 day yesterday a record for them. This is a delicate situation and while yes Trump wants to reopen the economy, many sates are going to fight him and do what they think is right. California came up with rules for reopening and I promise you they are no where near close to the items on the list they want to hit before reopening.

How can you play football when gatherings of greater than 10 people are banned? Theres 11 on each side of the ball, sorry man but its better to just accept sports will be the last thing to reopen because its the least important. And right now certain states have already extended the pandemic warning until November which means they wont allow mas gatherings or sports events.
