Pro Football Network's Tony Pauline reports the Dolphins are expected to pick Georgia OT Andrew Thomas with the No. 5 overall pick if he's available and they don't take a quarterback.
In Pauline's report from Monday, a source close to Dolphins owner Stephen Ross tells Pauline that Ross is "talking as though Justin Herbert is not in the team’s plans with the fifth overall pick," so it's either going to be a position player -- Pauline reports it would be Thomas -- or Tua Tagovailoa. Thomas is widely viewed as the top tackle in this draft, slightly ahead of the other three in the "big four." If the Dolphins take Thomas, the belief would be they'd try to trade up for Utah State QB Jordan Love with their other two first-rounders. Thomas, of course, could go before the Dolphins even pick at No. 5, considering the Giants are believed to be eyeing a tackle at No. 4.

Your points on the Bears are on the money, but neither one of us can really say if upgrading the offense will help Trubisky since the talk is Foles might be their starter.

You know, for a guy who was heavily-scrutinized for where he was taken and who he was taken over and had no WR help at the collegiate level whatsoever (Duke's wideouts lead the league in drops during his run and won't sniff the pro's), Jones surely exceeded expectations in his rookie year, I will say that much.

Of course, simply "better than expected" won't suffice, he better be a GREAT QB when it's all said and done considering who they passed on to take him and where (DG rightfully had a plethora of Giants fans calling for his head when the pick was announced), but it's certainly a step in the right direction, all things considered. Most QBs would fold like a lawn chair under that kind of pressure, we all know how the NY media treated Eli until he won his first SB.

Then again, this season (assuming there is one) will be a crapshoot considering no OTAs and any player catching COVID effectively ending their season. Von Miller's season is pretty much over before it even began and there sadly WILL be more to follow, and it could literally happen to any one player on any team (or any number of players on any team).

Love the dark blue/yellow uniforms. One of the best in the league. Only slight complaint is that I wish the helmet was yellow.
