Albert Breer was tweeting about the potential alternative to the onside kick. Last season the success rate for the onside kick was around 10% or right amongst the average over the last decade. Never would have guessed that.

I'd be up for an alternative.

Did you think the success rate would have been higher or lower?

The proposed alternative is actually pretty cool. I'm down for replacing the onside kick; would rather have there be an option with a decent chance of success, instead of failure being a foregone conclusion.

Lower. I was under the assumption ever since they changed the way kick off teams had to line up, that it decreased the onside kick odds.

Over the last decade, the league average for 3rd and 4th and 15 is around 16%, so not a big difference in success rate.

Well I think 10-16% is about right, you want teams to try to play as traditionally as possible. Teams going for it all the time sounds exciting but could also ruin a lot of games.

It has been tabled. Guess it didn’t have the votes.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has issued a revised order: not only will professional sports leagues be allowed to resume play in June, but outdoor stadiums will be allowed to host fans up to 25% of their capacity.

Exactly.
Again, I don’t really have a horse in this race as I don’t go to games, but unless numbers vastly improve fanless should be a given. What if there’s an emergency that calls for quick evacuation? You think all those fans, even at whatever percentage are going to social distance.
Then how would the league handle if some stadiums could allow fans but others couldn’t. That would be more of an advantage than Dallas/Detroit getting guaranteed home games every Thanksgiving.

Its actually less cause that counts surprise kicks.

When the team actually lined up for onside kick they are 0 for last 104.

They’re actually finally coming home again after a long hiatus down south!

They played one season at the Coliseum in Los Angeles before bailing to San Diego.

Such a senseless act of violence that led to the loss of life, followed by multiple acts of violence(all over the country) that put many lives in danger.

Since they raised the Oculus, these guys have to go on 180’/185’ booms to finish working on it. Better not be afraid of heights!

I’m doing work on a 135’ boom currently. Love the adrenalin rush it provides.
