What you talking about?!?! Dak has been behind one of, if not the best oline since he started. The man barely gets touched.

You’re right. Cousins was winning playoff games, and beating teams that make the playoffs. But hey make thirty more pro Dakota posts. Homer.

Never been a believer in Cousins, Stafford has never had solid coaching/RB/ defense to take DET to the next level and as a Niner fan I am still on the fence about Jimmy Gin general but all that said - WTF?!?!? Even by your normal DAL/Dak riding standards, these are insane comments.

It’s still pretty early, but the small sample size on QBs like Rayne Dakota and Baby Baker is they need a massive amount of talent surrounding them to excel. If something happens to said talent they regress big time. Most QBs will regress to a certain extent but elite QBs can make it work with any supporting cast.
And yeah I’m sure this deal will hover around half a Billion, but will still be basically ten 1yr deals.

Rayne Dakota(talk about a porn name ), didn’t really have to deal with many players getting hurt around him last season and still couldn’t beat a Philly team that was decimated by injury. All they had to do was win, and they had the division and playoffs. Couldn’t do it.

The injury guarantee is $140 million, per source.

The contract does not contain language that ties its value to a percentage of the salary cap.

Richest deal in sports’ history.

If it weren't for the uncertainty cause of covid I bet they would've went for percentage of cap guarantee.

Starting in 2022, and for 10 years running, Patrick Mahomes has a $1.25 million incentive for winning AFC Championship game and a $1.25 million incentive for winning NFL MVP, per source. That’s $25M of incentives over 10 years, taking value of his deal from $477M to $503M.

That Mahomes deal is damn near a MLB type contract (minus the fully guaranteed)....10 yrs, that's crazy. He apparently has a chance to earn another $2.5 mil each of those 10 yrs if he wins the AFC championship and wins the league MVP ($1.25 mil for each) potentially adding another $25 mil to his contract pushing it over the $500 mil mark. Safe to say the Chiefs went all in.

Edit: The post above beat me to it.

The numbers his agent is floating out there is not money he is likely to get.

It was actually 58, and if you actually watched their games you’d see it had more to do with him running around like a moron than it did the o-line and their quality. Which also explains why number 1 and 3 on the list for 2018 were Deshaun Watson and Russell Wilson. Two other QBs who hold the ball for awhile, and try running. Of course you’re gonna get sacked doing that.

Mahomes Money

Quote:
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Patrick Mahomes' 10-year contract is worth $503 million and includes $477 million in "guaranteed mechanisms."
It's still a 10-year extension, but the new numbers are far better for Mahomes than initially reported. It makes him the first American athlete to sign a contract worth a half billion dollars, and the reported "guarantees" went from $140 million to $477 million. The fine details of this will be confusing, likely containing options, rolling guarantees, and other fancy agent lingo. The bottom line is the quarterback market is finally catching up to a quarterback's true on-field worth. Mahomes will be making $50 million annually for the next decade plus, a cool $15 million more than Russell Wilson. It's certainly a gamble worth taking for the Chiefs, as Mahomes is on an unprecedented early-career trajectory.

Cowboys waited too damn long to sign Dak. 2 years ago $25-30M would probably get it done. Now? Can't see him signing for less than $35M.

Deshaun should as he’s extremely talented, and he’d get paid by almost every team. Give your Dak crap a rest though. Nobody will break the bank for him.

The way O'Brien's been running things in Houston, Deshaun was gonna get a massive deal regardless of what happened with Mahomes.

Or he'd get traded for some Pringles and Blockbuster gift card. You never know with O'Brien.
