Washington had absolutely nothing to lose and everything to gain. So they were basically playing with house money.
Only gets worse next season if the cap drops. If I’m Howie I’m on the phone trying to trade Ertz for whatever they can get for him above salary relief.
If I’m Lurie I’m on the phone trying to get Joe Douglas, or some other “football guy” back and let Howie solely work on the cap.
As long as the Rams win tonight, all is well.

I can't argue that, but something good to take away so far is more evidence that preseason games are about worthless.

Brady looked great for one drive, garbage the rest of the game. Starting to wonder if it really was Bill that had the magic.

He made Cam look better than he has in years today.

Half of one game is way too small a sample size to make any conclusions under normal offseason conditions, let alone this one.

What made Cam look good today was that he's healthy. People forget that Cam was the top-rated QB in the league before his shoulder wore down 1 1/2 seasons ago.
