I bought him up because he was another Steeler who chased the money and ended up with the Jets. They cut him after two seasons and then he becomes a career backup after one uneventful year in Cincinnati.

But it's not just him. There are a lot of players who sign big contracts elsewhere, don't pan out, get cut and never get another shot to be The Man even though it wasn't that long ago when they were The Man.

Gotcha, that explains the connection between Neil and Lev.

As much as that was the perception about Lev, best I can recall, the Jets didn't overpay for him if you look at the actual numbers. It was not some ridiculous gaudy contract and really it was only between the Jets and the Raiders (IIRC) that were vying for his services.

Is it me or do a lot of big money players on bad teams get "injured" often?

Maybe they quit on the team and just want to collect a paycheck.

Entertaining for sure. I always love how people ask me why I'm watching such and such a game when "nobody cares about those teams." Uhh, cuz you have the chance to witness games like last night.

"Because I simply love football" is always my answer. There's enough parity in the sport that almost any game has the potential to be good.
