Its ratings are falling already so guess they want it sampled again.

First Training Camp opens: 52 Days

CBA Deadline for the London Game: 61 Days

HOF Game (Rams v. Bears): 67 Days

Preseason Week 1: 71 Days

Kickoff (Saints v. Packers) 99 Days

I just had a thought why wouldn't these coaches that run the sports institutes get a call from coaches and basically be the middle man between the players and coaches?

Somewhat similar to that thought, but the rumor is Josh McDaniels' brother Ben is training Sam Bradford and helping him learn Josh's offense. Ben McDaniels was the Broncos QB coach when Josh was the head coach and it's widely assumed that he will become the Rams QB coach but since he hasn't been hired yet there is nothing illegal about him working out with Bradford. If the rumor is true it was a genius move by the Rams to delay the hiring and it seems like it would have been smart for other teams with new systems to make similar moves.

NFLPA leader DeMaurice Smith also met with them. I like that they are meeting secretly because it seems like they might actually be trying to make a deal by only having important figures at the meeting and not making it a public spectacle. I don't see a deal coming soon but at least they are talking.

Edit: Apparently Steelers owner Art Rooney and Giants co-owner John Mara were also at the meeting, as well as NFLPA president Kevin Mawae and Executive Committee members Jeff Saturday and Mike Vrabel.

Saw the 1st nfl preseason magazine & they go with the chalkiest of super bowl picks....packers over patriots.

Like horse racing atleast with that pick they are sure to get a run for their $$.

Plaxico Burress was released from prison this morning. I would expect several teams to be interested in him once the lockout ends. Receivers his size are very valuable and he's only 33. I would expect him to sign a contract with a lot of performance incentives.

Rumor is that he would like to go to Philly. M Vick and he are friends from VA and they have now have ex-con status in common. Vick has cleaned up his act so he may be a good influence for him.

Yeah, I've heard the Eagles rumor a lot, and it makes sense. Philly has good receivers but none of them are over 6 foot and could use a tall threat like Burress. Burress was wearing a Phillies cap when he left prison this morning, so that could be a sign that he's interested in them.
