The worst thing is when there's nothing wrong with the kicker but the team decides to go younger or cheaper and it backfires spectacularly on them. Like the Bears with Robbie Gould.

The latest kicker having issues today is the Jets' Sergio Castillo. After making the first one, he's missed the last two.

He had lost two game winning kicks that year and was a total distraction in the locker room, always crying about needing more money...and he'd do it on the radio stations locally as well.

He actually says it was being cut and having to find another team is what got him to clear his head and get a new perspective on things.

Plus, the Bears had the one year of the double doink, but Santos has pretty much been money this year. So while they meant to go with Pinero again this year, they may have found their long term answer in this guy that came in when Pinero got hurt.

I don't know, much like Mitch, he needs to have weapons around him to be any good. Look at how bad Watson has been this year when they took away his best weapon. 4-9? 2nd highest paid player behind Mahomes and that's what you get?

Most of the losses this season can be blamed on Foles for the Bears, not Mitch.

Why, so the Bears can pay him top 2 money to have a worse record?

I mean, for all the praise Watson gets thrown at his feet, what exactly has he done?

Like someone someone said on Facebook today, when it's 15-20 years down the road, Watson and Trubisky will have the same amount of rings.

Unless we use Hurts' performance to boost his trade value, which wouldn't surprise me.

Not a fan of doing that, but I can see the organization being too attached to Wentz at their own peril. Depends if Roseman stays or goes.

It's a shame that Bills-Steelers had all the makings of Game of the Year... before last week. Them laying an egg against Washington of all teams kinda devalues it a bit.
