So you get in road rage last week then on the weekend you get accused of sexually assaulting someone
Going by the brief summary of the allegations my guess is that case goes nowhere. I cannot stand Haynesworth but those allegations seem very suspect given the waitress said "ok."

However the road rage case may be a different story.

The Patriots have used the franchise tag on guard Logan Mankins. I don't expect Mankins to play under this tag, my guess is he either signs a long-term deal with the Pats or gets traded. I just can't imagine the Patriots going through another season of acrimony with Mankins like they did last year when Mankins held out after getting the highest restricted free agent tender.

They have so many picks this year in such good spots they should just replace him. Then try to trade him to a team like the redskins or something for their next years first rounder lol.

I wouldn't mind if we dropped to like the 12-20 picked up a high 3rd late second round pick, got Pouncey for a guard, traded away next years pick for Mankins, and had Williams on the side. Then we'd just need a center and that would be a good investment to steal Ryan Kalil away if the panthers don't franchise him

I wouldn't mind seeing Williams, Pouncey, Kalil, Mankins, Brown

I'll bet the Pats do that. They have a ton of picks and usually have good luck in the draft. The only guy on the Pats over the past decade plus that's a constant is Brady.

Now it's almost guaranteed that the NFL is headed for a lockout.

I'll guarantee an agreement is reached by opening day of preseason. Someone always blinks. NFL players careers are far shorter than the other major sports. No way the players will pass on paychecks that they'll never get back when the average career is what, maybe 3 or 4 seasons?

As expected the Eagles used the franchise tag on Michael Vick. Vick will make around $20 million next season under the franchise tag if he does not agree to a long-term deal. The Eagles also used the transition tag on kicker David Akers. This gives the Eagles the right to match any offer Akers receives.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=6123655

Edit: The Jets have also franchised linebacker David Harris.

A lockout could be especially bad for this year's draftees. Without training camp, new guys'll have to get acclimated with their new teams during season games. Wonder which teams this would favor

I think that just about gets him out of debt.

Richard Seymour agrees to new contract with Raiders

Quote:
Richard Seymour is sticking with the Oakland Raiders.

Seymour, the defensive tackle whose contract expired at the end of the 2010 season, has agreed to a new contract with the Raiders, according to multiple reports.

The terms of the new contract are not yet known. Jim Trotter of SI.com reports that it’s a two-year deal with $22.5 million in guarantees and the potential to make $30 million. But Jason La Canfora of NFL Network reports that it’s a four-year deal.

Well worth the first round pick we gave to the Pats now, we got ourselves a proven leader and a pro-bowl DL... Pats get the 17th pick..

Id say the Raiders won this trade

The Pats weren't going to even attempt to re-sign Seymour after his contract expired following the 2009 season and Belichick knew that with or without Seymour they weren't a Super Bowl caliber team. They also knew they weren't going to be able to franchise Seymour after the season because Vince Wilfork was also an unrestricted free agent after the season and they deemed the younger Wilfork as more valuable and needed to use the franchise tag on him. It's a trade that worked out for both teams.

Al Davis loves to over pay... should be use to it now

We will tag Miller, and as for Aso, i have no idea whats going to happen, not sure we'll be able to afford him..

We won't know who got the better end of that deal for a few years. Pats got a 2011 1st round pick for Seymour, which turned out to be the #17 overall pick. Knowing the Patriots history of draft success I'm sure they'll get good value from that pick.
