I thought to myself didn't they already build a new stadium not too long ago and they did! I guess the shelf life is much shorter now for some reason and even only a couple decades old now they were already making noise about building a new one the last year or so.

KC is an easy town to get around in and the location is right in the center of town...perfect location.

Downtown hotels are in-play since the free street car runs between DT and the crossroads (near union station). No need to rent a car if one didn't want to. The DT has the P&L district (restaurants and bars).

If anyone from BR.com ends up making the trip send me a DM and I'd be happy to serve as KC concierge for places to eat, stay and places to visit.

lol yea im not gonna miss him. at least he came up big at times in those comebacks to win the SB. when i seen that pop up on my phone i thought it was Mathieu that signed with them since that was a team having interest in him. now it sounds like sometime soon he'll sign between the Steelers & Raiders. i prefer the former.

I don’t remember which team we were going to play that weekend. The opposing teams off coordinator when talking about any of the chiefs he referred to them by number except Dirty Dan. When you are not a starter and the offense is keying in on you (and not in a good way for the chiefs)

I wish the Steelers would sign Mathieu but I don't see it happening. Also Minkah Fitzpatrick has a big pay day coming soon.

It worked well for the Rams. History shows us that isn’t the norm though.

Not surprising the three players on Chiefs Def not resigned:

Anthony Hitchens

But, losing Ward and Mathieu (and maybe Ingram) really hurts.

If you played Chiefs Player Bingo on Monday's Sports Talk Stations and had Dan, Ben and Anthony on your player bingo card....you be an easy winner.

Those three were typically the whipping dogs of what was wrong with the defense. Dan and Ben would be exploited by the opposing team offense. And for some reason Spags would favor using Ben and Anthony in a high percentage of plays vs the much younger LB's with more (raw) talent in Gay and Bolton.

Play counts for Ben, Dan and Anthony was an hour long topic each Monday. Not saying that Spags was on his way out, but if those three were on the roster and he kept playing them....he may not have been back for 2023/24. He could take a seat next to Bob Sutton (who most felt Reid kept on the staff for two too many years).

(It's funny because some teams had these record-breaking huge stockpiles of picks and it doesn't always bring them to the Superbowl. Cleveland in recent memory.)

The Chiefs are in a different situation though, they went to the AFC championship game and are somewhat restricted by the big contracts. A lot of picks for them might create a better team within the salary cap.
