I can't speak for Chiefs Kingdom, but personally, I wouldn't have a problem with that decision.
I would say yes. If they just leave Cin/Buf with just 16 games, then the order would be 1 Bills, 2 Chiefs and 3 Bengals. Bengals also hold the tiebreaker over Bills and would be in the number 1 spot if they have the week 17 W.

Someone was saying that would be the best way to do it. Just cancel the game and use winning percentage to figure out seeding, so the Bills and Cincy would just play one less game than every other team.

Not sure they're gonna be able to find a good time to squeeze it in, as the playoffs already start next weekend, and asking either team to play three games in a 7 day period would be insane.

He started his own charity when he was in college and he wasn't even guaranteed (6th round pick I think) to become an NFL player? That's pretty impressive.

I don’t mind them doing that. The only way I can see them play the game is to not have the week off before the Super Bowl. Then they could have Cindy and Buffalo play what would be the Wild Card weekend. Then continue as normal, but with no week off btw the Conference game and Super Bowl.

So, schedule would be like

Cincy/Buf be like btw 1/12-1/15
Wild Card games 1/21 - 1/22
Divisional Games 1/28 - 1/29
Conference Games 2/4 - 2/5
Pro Bowl can be played on Monday 2/6 or Thursday 2/9
Super Bowl 2/12

The Pro bowl can be cancelled none of the players actually play in it anyways.

Play week 17 as normal
Makeup Bills vs Bengals week after, then do playoffs each week until Superbowl

I actually had the game recorded and went back and watched the incident again today. I came away thoroughly impressed with how fast the team doctors and their staff moved and how quickly they identified that there was something seriously wrong happening. Kudos to the unsung heroes on the field last night.

Thank you to the Bengals franchise, Who Dey fanbase, and city of Cincinnati for the showing of humanism the last 48 hours. It will never be forgotten by Bills Mafia.

Shining example of how it's 100% about more than football. A lot of people have shown their true colors over the past 24 hours.

NFL just needs to build in flexibility within its calendar. I understand the magnitude of the Super Bowl, but it’s really just one more football game at whichever stadium. It doesn’t need to be drawn out.

According to CNN, via Damar's Uncle, Damar is still sedated and is on a ventilator. His Uncle also stated that Damar had to be resuscitated a second time when at the hospital. He said that the next steps will be to get him to breathe on his own.

Think god were getting real information from family and friends. I cant believe how much misinformation is being spread here. Anti Vaxxers and COVID provocateurs are of course saying its because of the vaccine he collapsed.

Source: https://www.yahoo.com/sports/covid-m...001623351.html

So if the timeline is right they did CPR on the field, had to do an AED on the field before getting him into ambulance, then had to AED him again at the hospital.

This is eerily similar to Pronger in 98 when he took the puck to the chest.

So glad many people realize this is more then being about football and have donated to his charity, when he wakes up I think hes going to be surprised.

I think we all know that Bayless is a garbage person. He caught a good amount of sh-t, rightfully so, for his tweet. I don't necessarily think what he said was disrespectful but the timing of it absolutely was, that coupled with his history of being trash added to it all it seems. Shannon, who skipped yesterday's show, rumored about his displeasure with Skip's tweet, returned this morning and tried to give his side of why he was gone, what he was thinking and Skip cut him off and making it about himself as usual.
Its rare that I wish for someone to lose their job but I wouldn't be surprised if this is finally it for him. No one in the sports world likes or respects him and he has gotten by, attention for his troll persona but these guy have a shelf life until the next one comes around and hopefully his time is up.

Doctors saw promising signs of progress overnight from Damar Hamlin, who remained hospitalized in critical condition as of Wednesday morning, according to a friend and business partner of the Buffalo Bills safety. Jordon Rooney told ESPN's Coley Harvey that Hamlin is still in the intensive care unit at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, less than two days after he went into cardiac arrest on the field during the Bills' game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Rooney told ESPN that Hamlin is still sedated, but doctors saw promising readings overnight from him that they had hoped to see by Wednesday morning. Hamlin's agent, Ron Butler, told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler on Tuesday night that Hamlin's oxygen levels had improved.

I've always found Skip annoying, but I think the Tweet uproar is being ridiculously overblown. Seems like he was merely posing the same question millions of fans (including many on this forum) do - how and when does the game get finished?

Right - and I don't think it will. Still, it's a legitimate question to ask.

Problem with not playing the game and letting win % determine playoff seeding is that it would likely directly cost Buffalo the #1 seed and a 1st round bye given they hold the tiebreaker over KC.

Correct and this is precedent setting as it's not CIN or BUF's fault that this occurred and they need to make it fair across the board. The only way I can see to handle this, short of playing the game which doesn't appear as though it's happening, is to rule the game a tie.

I don't disagree with the question in general, I am sure it was a thought in peoples minds but like I said, his timing - to post it minutes after this happened, to his millions of followers on Twitter, add in his rep as a troll - it was dumb, even by his standards.

Wildcard would actually be 1/21-1/23 cause of the monday night wc game
Thats 1 of the plan nfl mentioned
Easier to scrap the wk before the SB than to move SB back 1 wk due to all the events tied to the 2/12 date.
They already did this in the 9/11 yr.

Ruling the game a tie doesnt really help cause if KC wins theyre the 1 seed.

Former Bills (and now Viking Skol) Harrison Phillips picks up tab for dinner at UC Medical for his former teammate Damar Hamlin’s family, Bills staff, doctors and nurses at the ICU unit. Stuff like that warms my cockles.
