Now we have four guys gunning to beat Marino's single season passing record. Eli's 400 passing yards last night now put him on pace to pass for 5052 (32 shy) yards.

I actually rather have the giants win the divison.

The cowboys arent beating the packers anyway so whats the point.

Let the giants get the 1st place schedule next year....yea its only 2 games difference but still the giants would have to play the packers next year while the cowboys wouldnt.

i started getting excited about rodgers and the run he was on w/all of these records that were getting within sight.

but right now, the only thing i'm hoping for is a run to the super bowl w/a 2nd straight win.

yeah it would be cool if he were to be up there and beat a record by brady or manning, but if he can get his 2nd ring before manning does, i'd be happy w/that!!!

Have some faith in your team!

I see more Cowboy turn-cloaks than any team. One day they will remove Romo from the team and he won't be able to choke away wins. Then they should get better.

EDIT@benny: I highly doubt Peyton will be getting another ring. He's rich as hell so even if the Colts do let him go he may just retire. He will always be first to 4 MVP's.

IDK.....i'm up in the air on manning right now.

i can't see the colts trading him away, but i also can't see them passing on luck and locking in a new QB for the next 12 years.

and then i can't see manning sitting as a 2nd QB on a team or the colts drafting luck # 1 and letting him sit for a year or 2.

manning seems like the type where it could get messy if the colts do what they want and not what manning wants. i think he'll end up somewhere else for 3-4 more years if he can test his neck w/some kind of contact and see how it's doing.

brady can break/hold every record favre did for all i care, as long as rodgers wins @ least 1 more ring and beats favre that way...i'm happy.

There is no way the Colts will pay Manning 28 million dollars now with all his neck surgeries. They have a perfectly good shot at the next Manning and know that they need to rebuild the dynasty around him. I could see some players (Freeney, Mathis, Wayne) getting traded for picks to go all youth movement.

EDIT: Thinking about it though, I would trade away the first pick if the right offer was presented, then if possible, get RG3. Colts never really have a run game but RG3 could change that.

Mathis and Wayne are both free agents after the season. I could see them franchising Mathis and possibly trading him but they're probably going to lose Wayne and get nothing in return.

Yeah they should've traded them both during this season. A lot of teams could've used either one of them.

talk about a complete 180 from even last year for colts fans!!

to go from 12+ wins for how long to possibly running the table the way u don't want to, to possibly losing your star player for the last decade, and then have a potential facelift to your team!!!

Like what the colts are doing to get #1.

Yeah, I think Wayne especially should have been traded. By the time of the trade deadline they were 0-6 and obviously going nowhere. I would think a receiver-needy team like New England would have given up at least a third round pick for him and they should have known they were likely going to lose him for nothing after the season. Mathis is still young enough that it would make sense to give him a big contract but they likely aren't going to give Wayne the extension he wants, especially if they decide they're in rebuilding mode.

How is it realistically over? You still run the table in NFC East. If you win the next 3 games you still go to the playoffs and have a home game. Seeing as they play the Giants in the last game you would have a better record even if they win the next 2 games.

It's the same situation a lot of teams are in. Win or go home.
Even at 10-3 the Ravens have to win out to hold off the Steelers.
Same with the Steelers to make the wild card/AFC North.
Same with the Saints to hold off the Falcons.
Same with the Falcons to make the wild card/NFC South.
same with the Patriots to hold off the Jets
Same with the Jets to make the Wild card/AFC East.
Same with the Broncos to hold off the Raiders.
Same with the Raiders to make the wild card/AFC West.

Its chaos mate. This is the "parity" everyone wanted. Any given Sunday. Never forget that.

Are you kidding me NOW the Raiders say this! For 7 weeks hes been having a mild foot sprain now this...

Quote:
Coach Hue Jackson said that Darren McFadden does have a Lisfranc injury in his right foot, but insisted the running back is not done for the year.
During the Week 14 telecast, CBS' Phil Simms said McFadden has a Lisfranc injury, not a mid-foot sprain, and could be out for the year. After the game, Jackson brushed off the new diagnosis. "I mean, that's what we said - it's a sprained foot, Lisfranc, whatever you want to call it. Basically the same thing," he said. "I think Darren will be back before the season's over." A Lisfranc is much more serious than a mid-foot sprain, no matter what Jackson thinks. We can't realistically expect to see McFadden in Week 15.

I don't see that happening. The Broncos will probably get the Ravens or Steelers in the 1st round which means Tebow will have to face a good team for only the second time this season (see the Lions game) and get destroyed once again.

Third time. He faces the Patriots next week. Their pass defense was atrocious yet again yesterday but Brady is too good for the Broncos defense to stop. Brady, Gronkowski and Welker are a lethal trio.

I see one more winnable game the rest of the way, Cowboys are going to finish 8-8, I just hope the draft pick they get can help out this sieve of a defense.

ANOTHER December collapse from the Cowboys after a decent 7-4 start, just not sure how I feel. I think I can just feel all the optimism being permanently driven out of me right now, at least regarding the Cowboys.
