Which he still might do. He”s most likely holding out to see if there were other options, probably thought a few teams would try for him. Now it seems like it’s either stay with GB (looks like they’re ready to move on) or the Jets. If he really wanted to play for NY, and the deal is supposedly in place, what’s taking so long? I think there’s more to it than just wanting attention.

I dont see him retiring he doesnt want to go into the HOF the same day as brady & get totally overshadowed.
But there is an option to retire now & then unretire in july when he really would have GB over a barrel with their cap situation then.

The rumor mill also has Cobb linked to going to the Jets. If there's any truth to that, I wouldn't be surprised if it's a Rodgers stipulation to agree on the trade and probably a factor on the wait. Cobb is a UFA and said he intends to play this season.

What’s the play here for Rodgers? Seriously. He has two options, just make a decision. It’s just annoying at this point, and I’m a Bills fan. If I was Rager, I’d be 24 hours into a bender.

Hes busy talking to Lamar. See if JETS cant get A Aron they going to get Lamar at like 250 million and 2 1st round picks then say this was all planned all along see we knew what we were doing.

Honestly, it's all just laughable at this point so I'm just trying to take it all in stride and dick around with the fan base on Twitter that have been suffering in real-time. We're legit getting bent over a barrel to lure Rodgers and all his buddies here on new deals. Lazard I don't mind given the system Hackett will run, but Randall Cobb at age 32? JFC, come on, man. Marcedes Lewis when we just went big-ish with two TEs recently? It's just wild.

….but at 39 yrs old, the prospect of playing another year with a team that may not even make the playoffs can make a person reevaluate their situation. Rodgers must think to some degree that the Jets aren’t good enough to make a postseason run if he wants the Jets to sign all of these other players.

I saw that, too, but ignored it. Not saying there isn't any truth to the rumors, but it was ESPN after all.
