so a couple days ago NFL Twitter (still gonna call it that) was abuzz with the Jags landing Nick Bosa. I thought it was just NFL Twitter and Jags fans being silly since Bosa's talks with the Niners are currently at an impasse. Today the Reddit user who broke the Christian McCaffrey trade news last season is claiming that the Niners and Bosa are very far apart on numbers and the Niners open to trading Bosa to an AFC team. Lynch says he is optimistic on getting a deal done by Week 1.
Now this Reddit user may just see the current lack of news as an opportunity to swing for the fences and make a big splash with a guess like this but crazier things have happened. Bosa is a generational talent and I hope he is with the team until he retires but Lynch and Shanny aren't against making a shrewd move in the best interest of the team. He's arguably the best pass rusher in the game and a tremendous weapon but the rest of the defense is still stacked.
I am 99% sure a deal will get done, just hope its soon.

Hilarious, the same Reddit "scooper" did the same thing with the NYJ last night.

the NFL reddit took his post down since it wasn't sourced. I didn't see that he specified any team other than an AFC team. I was just guessing JAX since it was all over NFL Twitter earlier this week, I think someone said they are one of the few teams with cap room to pull it off.

I saw speculation it was the Texans cuz of cap space and the Demeco Ryans connection.

I don’t think Bosa is going anywhere, and I think the Trey Lance trade (freeing up 6 mil in cap space over the next two years) will help the negotiations. It would be nice to have an off-season without any drama, for lack of a better word.

Next year is going to be interesting. Kirk Cousins becomes a free agent, and depending on what happens this season with Purdy/Darnold and where the 49ers finish, I can see the “Cousins to the 49ers” being the hot rumor/topic ad nausaem.
