RGIII is a qb from baylor.

Good god I hope that mock draft doesn't turn out true. The redskins using a top 10 pick on a ND WR I think I'd die.

Are you talking about Robert Griffin the 3rd from Baylor? Dual threat, can throw the long ball, very smart. Can he play in the NFL? I have no clue but I'll take him over Landry all day.

Of course he'll get better.

I don't believe his "better" will ever reach even an average QB in the NFL, as a result I still think he's "bad".

Do you think the Andy Dalton and Cam Newtons of the world won't get better right alongside Tebow?

I am at the point where I just don't understand the Tebow fan. Wins aside there hasn't been anything to say that Tebow will be more than a below average QB in the league.

And remember, if the Broncos lose to the Patriots Tebow and Kyle Orton will have the same 12-game record with the Broncos. The same Kyle Orton who was driven out of town for sucking.

You want me to believe Tebow will be good? Let's see him blow out one of these terrible teams they are playing. Yes, yes...the NFL is a hard league to win in. That doesn't stop good to great QBs from sometimes having a blowout. Especially with as soft of a schedule as Tebow has faced so far.

My true fear is that the Broncos will end up in the playoffs this year, commit to Tebow as their starter going forward, then go 4-12 over the next 3 seasons. I've always kinda liked the Broncos and don't want to see that happen.

I'm all for the Cowboys drafting a NT or S in the first round, time will tell if Jerry realizes that's what we need to do. Still surprised he drafted stud RT Tyron Smith, someone who will probably move to LT next year so Free can play on the right side.

The question becomes are you giving up on Chad Henne this soon? To me the guy has done nothing to prove he's a franchise NFL QB.

I'd say the same thing we just don't know. Newton could continue to sky rocket or he could pull a vince young which oddly enough he is very very close to VY's first year numbers. The odds are against Tebow, but just like now when haven't they been? They could easily be 1-8, and maybe that will come next year, but right now they are playing good team ball.

Vince Young first 15 games:

Comp %: 51.5
Yrds: 2199
TD/INT: 12-13

Cam first 13 games

Comp %: 59.7
Yrds: 3573
TD/INT: 15/16

Not sure why you wouldn't want to continue to stack the line

Really though, you have to count Cam's 13 rushing TD's too. And the fact that he loves his team, and tries to win.

True then we'd have to count Vince’s 7 or 8 (I can't recall), but they are very comparable running that year too. Cam's shocked me personally with his work ethic which I didn't think he had, and I doubt he'll plummet like VY did but they are strikingly similar.

Even Matt Moore is a better QB. Not sure if we would have won 3 games in a row with Henne as the QB.

If the Panthers surround him with talent he will probably have a great career. If they just dump on their team and never replace talent they lose (coughBrownscough) then he will be gone when the contract is up. And A LOT of teams will want him if he keeps up his determination like this year.

I think they will, he's got the buzz going and I think they'd lose a ton of support if they didn't help him more.

I could see the Panthers taking Justin Blackmon and possibly another receiver to give him one of the best receiving corps in the NFL. Steve Smith won't be around forever, it's time to start looking towards the future. They are set at RB and probably TE, so offensive line, receiver and defense is where they need to look.

Case and point, Minnesota Vikings. NFC championship, to missing playoffs, to second worst in league in just 3 years. that's a free fall no college QB could mend right away.

The Vikings really have 1 good receiver, a poor offensive line and a one man defense. How they've been competitive in 10 of their 13 games this year is beyond me but they're still 2-11 and I think will regret their decision to hold onto Leslie Frazier for another year unless they draft very well.

One player doesn't make a team? Really, I had no idea. Surely you would agree the qb is the most important position.

Post-Marino the fish have had about 20 dif. qbs now. Going after a qb in the first round is the only thing they haven't tried, and it's something that should have been done long ago.

Your own post showed why it isn't his fault. Talent left, the GM didn't bring any more in. That's how a team crumbles. I'm really getting tired of head coaches getting fired left and right for a bad season or two.

The only one's in the past 2-3 years that made any sense were Wade Phillips and Mike Singletary. They had plenty of talent but each had problems being the head coach. Wade is a defense guy, and Singletary is a "yell at everyone" but not have any better ideas guy.

Now if Norv turner gets fired it's totally justifiable. He's had a long time to make something of that team and squandered it.

But people like Todd Haley should not be fired. He took over and within 3 years got the division title. Yeah he had a bad run this year but that's because Jamaal Charles went to IR early, they had a first place schedule, and then Matt Cassel went out. How good would the Patriots look if Gronkowski went down then Brady went out? Or the Packers for that matter if Rodgers went out along with one of their 50 WR's? Losing 2 starters really can hurt anyone.

The Vikings went from a Super Bowl contender to a perennial 4th place team under Leslie Frazier. The difference between good teams and bad teams is good teams consistently win close games and bad teams consistently find ways to lose close games. Leslie Frazier just doesn't strike me as the type of coach who will make a team better but I've been wrong before and no doubt will be wrong again.
