Problem if DAL wins the division this yr then next yr they have to play SF & DET while PHI finishing 2nd wont have to.
DAL already has a hard sched next yr this will make it even harder.

Both #1 seeds SF & BAL are not playing their starting QBs among other players.
I guess this another test for rest v rust.

I don’t get this mentality. Their starters will have essentially gone 3 whole weeks without taking a snap by the time they play their first playoff game. I don’t see how that can help even with HFA. Even one week off during the regular season bye isn’t always beneficial. I get not wanting to risk injuries in a meaningless game (*cough*BRANDONSTALEY*cough*), but at least play them for the first quarter/first couple drives so they’re not totally rusty in the Div. Round.

Mason Rudolph has been solid as the starter. Those loses against Arizona and New England going to keep us out the playoffs most likely.

PIT ownership value continuity and loyalty, they wouldn't dump Tomlin after this year. I would take multiple sub .500 seasons for them to start thinking about that.

Well 1987 chargers were 8-1 but finished 8-7 & missed the playoffs....was a strike yr.
