hey dragon - you getting annoyed with this BA contract situation? Went through this silliness with Deebo and I hated it but came back around on him once he signed but I really expected better from BA.
Historically the Niners pay their guys and get it done right before the start of the season but he wants to play these immature games. Looking around online and other Niner fans are getting fed up too. The offer was $26m per season and he's going on podcasts saying "they don't want me". On top of that he has no leverage. He is under contract this year and they can franchise him for two more years if they want to.
I am at the point of saying - take the best offer you can for him. Trade him to a two win team, with no QB that can pay him the $30m per he thinks he's worth. Our offense is already stacked. He's a nice weapon but not essential.

It definitely gets tiresome but I’m at the point now where if he gets a new contract…..cool, if not…..oh well. This is also why Shanahan should get Jennings more involved with the offense. Also, if Pearsall has a good rookie year (highly dependent on how much playing time he gets), might not need Aiyuk at $30 mil or more a year.

Deebo Samuel, the YAC king. He’s led the NFL in yac per reception 4x, no other player has done it more than 2x in the last 30 yrs. And that’s 4x out of 5 seasons. It’s uncertain if he will be a 49er after this upcoming season, but I appreciate what he’s done for the team. Hopefully he will have a relatively injury free season (I do expect him to miss a game or two)…….

so BA has requested a trade. this is so dumb, he has absolutely no leverage. Niners have told teams he is not available. I hope he sits and they fine him.

I am just not sold on Aiyuk either, every time his name comes back the patriots are rumored and hell fning NO in my book would he be worth a 1st round pick, nope never!

Take Aiyuk off a team that has Samual, McCaffery and Kittle and have defenses only have to really worry about him and his production would be reduced significantly imo. I would chance maybe a 2nd round pick but I know San Fran would want more and once again thanks but no thanks. I'll take my chances with the current group hoping the 2 rookies can break out and keep my what could very likely be a top 5 pick next season.

All reports are the teams offer is in the $25m-$26m range.
Plus, history has shown Lynch and Shanny take negotiations deep into preseason, damn near start of the season.
Who is advising him? He has absolutely no leverage. He still has one year left on his deal and if they want they can tag him the next two years.
From a negotiating standpoint, it makes no logical sense.
I have seen fans online say "he can sit". Ok, then let him get fined AND let Ricky get those reps then.

BA is a solid WR but like you said, he benefits from all of the weapons the Niners have. Like I said, I'm just over it. Even if Pearsall doesn't develop fast enough, Jennings has always been dependable and can shine when his number is called.
I understand these guys need to get paid and secure their future but the way these divas go about it is just nonsense.

One of those strange things where he plays like a top 5-10 QB in the regular season and can't win in the play-offs. No excuse for losing to the Packers. Agree with the Jones cartel - let Dak play it out. If he can't get past the divisional round this season, he can go enjoy being quarterback for the Raiders while we start over again.
