They've wasted so many draft picks on RBs that haven't panned out. Hopefully they do go after a FA RB.

Good one. If a sports reporter ever asked anyone an actual tough question that reporter would suddenly have his press pass to the team revoked.

Anyone giving San Francisco much of a shot against against New Orleans? Even with home field advantage I'm just not seeing the Niners having much of a shot. Then again those west coast road playoff games can produce weird results like we saw with Seattle-New Orleans last year.

I don't see why a Best/Smith combo wouldn't work out. They have both had great games but they just aren't "workhorse" backs that can run 30 times a game. With a time share you would cut down on wear and tear and hopefully keep them both healthy all year.

Drew Bress is not nearly as good outside in bad weather as he is in domes. I guess it all depends on the weather in SF next week. The 49ers can ride the run all game long, the Saints won't be putting up half the numbers on SF as they did to Detroit.

I know at least the defense will be better than the Detroit performance. Expect more pressure on Brees and a few sacks.

Please God, let there be a Saints-Packers NFC Title game.
[Show spoiler]
It could be one for the ages with an over/under of 75+.

The problem with the Saints they're a completely different team on the road...but yes they should be able to beat San Fran...

Poor Lions, 7 straight play-off losses and they still haven't won a championship in how many seasons? So glad I'm not a Detroit fan.

I don't think you need to man. Mikel Leshoure should have a big year next year as long as he stays healthy.

And let's give some props to Andre Reed being a Hall of Fame finalist.

aside from the championships Dallas has (which they haven't even come close to getting one in how long) they aren't too far off (5 straight playoff losses, including 2 at home) and Detroit is in much better shape that the Boys are right now.

We won a play-off game in 2009 against the Eagles, try again. Detroit isn't in MUCH better shape than us, I'd argue we have similar offenses, their line is better than ours though. We have a slightly better QB than they do, their defense is about as good as ours, hopefully we'll upgrade our secondary and our defensive line in the draft and free agency.

that was in 2009. the last win before that was 1998. Dallas had 5 playoff games between then. lost them all. that means, Dallas lost 5 playoff games in a row. just like i said. try again

i agree about the teams though your defense is older than the Lions, so for that i'd give the edge to a younger, improving Lions defense than an older Cowboys D. and the Cowboys don't have a force in the middle. and if Suh can keep himself composed half the time he and Fairley could be the new "Williams Wall" like Minnesota had for all those years. Dallas i don't feel has anyone like Suh or Fairley. at least not yet.

LOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!

Stafford is so much better it's not even funny. In case you didn't notice, he threw for over 5,000 yards this year. Also had 10 more TD's. And that's without 3 star players to throw to (Bryant, Austin, Witten), all he has is Megatron.
