i wonder what happens to the Packers now. seems like some key players are either free agents or very old.

Woodson looked super old and slow (Jacobs flies past him for the last dagger TD, missed tackles left and right, missed / blown coverages (especially on the hail mary TD...) and isn't nearly as good as he was 4-5 years ago of course. all he does now is blitz and anyone can do that. his coverage skills and speed have diminished.

isn't Finley a free agent? and today he was a no-show. not saying they won't sign him long term but today was not a "money making" day for him.

Driver is super old who knows how much he has left.

Jennings left with another injury mysteriously enough in the 4th quarter

and what happened to Matthews? Matthews was a no-show for like, the last half of the season. groin injury or not, i didn't hear his name once all game.
woodson s/b turned into a safety/lb hybrid that concentrates on blitzing and tackling. or just move to safety.

finley is a FA but will get franchised. hopefully they trade him for a 2nd rd pick w/as many drops as he had this season.

driver will slowly be fazed out.....3rd or 4th recv'r....possibly 5th depending on how cobb does.

matthews had more of an impact outside of sacks this season....he was more of a disruptive force....but losing cullen jenkins hurt...teams didn't have to worry about blocking jenkins and matthews this year.

we need a DE in the draft....bad.

Opening point spreads for conf title games.

AFC: New England (-7.5) vs. Baltimore
NFC: San Francisco (-1) vs. NY Giants

These four teams have a combined 12 Super Bowl titles.

In order of match-ups I most want to see in the Super Bowl:
1. New England vs. San Francisco
2. New England vs. NY Giants
3. Baltimore vs. San Francisco
4. Baltimore vs. NY Giants

There's only one prolific offense left in these playoffs and I think Brady is looking to tell everyone he has not fallen to 3rd best QB in the league.

funny how it seems that in an era where offenses run the show and yards and points are at their highest levels EVER, when it comes to the cold weather of January playoff football, defense still gets the job done.

love it.

can't wait for the games next week!

As long as the Pats don't win the Super Bowl I'll be happy. I'd much rather a defense won it.

Defense and run game wins championships. It's time to let all the throw happy sissy boys see how it's really done.

Giants have given up 14, 0 and 20 points in their last 3 games, how is that not defense?

Today's game notwithstanding I'd rank them:

1. Aaron Rodgers
2. Tom Brady
3. Drew Brees
4. Peyton Manning - He'll be back and still be a top-tier QB for a few more years... somewhere.

Next Tier: Ben Roethlisberger, Phillip Rivers, Matt Ryan, Eli Manning, Tony Romo

Here's food for thought. These are the last four teams to finish a regular season 15-1 or 16-0. None won a Super Bowl. Last team to win 15+ regular season games and the Super Bowl was the 1985 Bears.

2011 - Green Bay (15-1) - Went 0-1 in playoffs, Lost Divisional Game
2007 - New England (16-0) - Went 2-1 in playoffs - Lost Super Bowl
2004 - Pittsburgh (15-1) - Went 1-1 in playoffs - Lost AFC Title Game
1998 - Minnesota (15-1) - Went 1-1 in playoffs - Lost NFC Title Game

That's my best guess. But who knows. It's gotta kill the Colts knowing New England might win a Super Bowl in their own house.

Hey he's carved up good defenses.

I can see it now.

Brady beats the 49ers to match his childhood hero Joe Montana for 4 Super Bowl wins.

I honestly think the Giants outclass the 49ers everywhere, so
QB
RBs
WRs
OL
Defensive units
MIGHT be a close game since it's in San Francisco but I fully expect the Giants to win the re-match and move to 12-7. Would be ironically funny if Eli Manning keeps Brady from getting his 4th ring again.

Considering he's 15-5 in the playoffs I'd say he's just fine against tough defenses.
