Cincinnati police have officially charged Bengals MLB Rey Maualuga with misdemeanor assault stemming from last weekend's bar fight.
Contacted Friday by the Associated Press, the Bengals had no comment. Maualuga allegedly struck a bar manager while fighting another man in the night club, perhaps accidentally. Either way, the citation will be frowned upon by the league after Maualuga's 2010 DUI arrest. The NFL had to fine Maualuga two game checks and strip part of his signing bonus two years ago.

From a legal standpoint Malaluga got lucky because his probation for the DUI ended three days before the alleged assault, but I would expect at least a game suspension from the NFL and it wouldn't surprise me if it's a 2-3 game suspension.

Oh look, she gives the finger in the music video for the same song which you approved.

She and Gronk should go hookup and awkwardly dance the night away.

I'm with you on this one.....She also lip-syncs while on tour from what I've been told.....SHE CAN'T SING. Springsteen, Kiss and The Who had Great Halftime shows and didn't have to flip anyone "The Bird" for attention.....This is ridiculous.

Raiders just need 2 things to win their division: health and discipline. Any QB would look like Montana behind that O-line, and with McFadden and Jacoby Ford healthy, the Raiders have one, if not the best offense in the AFC.

Just stumbled onto the fact that a lot of great quarterbacks had zero passer rating games

Terry Bradshaw: 3
Otto Graham: 1 (In the 1953 NFL championship game no less )
Warren Moon: 2
Namath: 2 (and his replacement in 0.0 game #2 Todd also had a 0.0 rating )
Unitas: 1
Bob Griese: 1
Dan Fouts: 1
Eli Manning: 1

Of course from that list, all but Fouts and Moon also had one or more perfect passer rating games.

Other interesting facts: Tommy Thompson, the first player to win with a 0.0 rating had his 0.0 game in the 1948 NFL championship. His Eagles beat the Chicago Cardinals 7-0 (2-12, 7 yds 2 INT).

It's a lot harder to do nowadays than it was in the pre-80's era. I looked up Otto Graham's 1953 title game and these were his stats.

2-15 passing for 20 yards
0 TD, 2 Int

Back then the running game dominated the NFL and Graham's Browns actually lost that game by only one point 17-16. The Lions won that game which was their 2nd of 3 championships in 6 years. Last one was in 1957 and it's been downhill ever since.

I'm already thinking about next year's fantasy draft.

First overall - Arian Foster/Aaron Rodgers (depending on your draft philosophy)
Second-Third - Ray Rice/LeSean McCoy

Five-Ten - Matt Forte, Marshawn Lynch, and MJD?

Adrian Peterson, Darren McFadden, Chris Johnson, and Andre Johnson will all drop to second round picks?

Calvin Johnson will be the only receiver in the first round

Jimmy Graham and Gronk in the third round?

Brees and Brady late first rounders?

Griffin will be a good sleeper like Newton last year

Luck will put up Andy Dalton numbers

Guys I'm staying away from:

Darren McInjury
Vincent "all or nothing" Jackson
Peyton Manning

Every Cowboy except Romo
Every Saint except Brees and Sproles
Every Colt
Every Buc
Every Jet

Having a hard time buying into Graham and Gronk having "career seasons" back to back. I think 3rd Rd is a bit high for a TE. Those seasons those guys had were an anomaly.

Depending on the depth of your league (12 man league here), Brees will not make it out of the 1st Rd, but Brady will (unless they really get him help at WR).

Cowboys - You can leave DeMarco Murray on the board for me...I'll take him. And in one league where we get its for return yards, I'll take Bryant too (later). He may be dumber than a box of rocks, but he CAN break the long one on O and on ST.

I definitely agree on Jackson. I went early 3rd rd on him last year, and I started him maybe 4 times (I was lucky enough to get Cruz on a waiver in week 3).

Andre Johnson will DEFINITELY drop to 2nd rd. Peterson may still go late 1st (depending on rehab - He had the surgery early enough).

Hard arguing with your Top 5, although I would probably be tempted to go MJD #1, especially in a PPR league. If JAX can get ANYTHING going at WR or TE to take pressure off, he may have better #s than last year.

Don't sleep on Jamaal Charles. He got injured WAY early, and should be good to go next year.

Jimmy Graham and Gronk in the third round?
I doubt it after having surgery:

The Saints have not made any attempts to re-sign free agent Marques Colston.
Given the Saints' cash outlay, they'll likely have to choose between re-signing Colston or free agent LG Carl Nicks. General manager Mickey Loomis has a history of managing the salary cap and keeping home-grown talent, so it's not unrealistic to think Loomis could find a way to bring one or both back. According to Pro Football Focus, Colston finished as the NFL's fifth best receiver despite appearing in just 14 games.

Matchup nightmares in 2011. Matchup nightmares in 2012. The only thing that would worry me about Gronk in 2012 is if the Pats acquire a true #1 wide receiver that would take away his targets. Would still be a good season compared to others, but I doubt it would be a repeat performance of the 2011 season.

Still disappointed the Ravens passed on Jimmy Graham and took Ed Dickson in the 2010 draft. Oh well, I am wrong about who my team should draft more times than I am right.

I would easily take Gronk or Graham in the 3rd round and possibly 2nd round depending on who else is available and who I already have drafted. Only 4 WR averaged more points than them. If Gronk were a RB, he would have been the #5 RB in scoring with 14.6 ppg. This is ESPN standard scoring.

2 years ago, watching the draft with my son, I was absolutely pissed that the Raiders "snatched" Rolando McClain off the board 2 picks before the Giants. Giants went ahead and picked some project by the name of Jason Pierre Paul. Man was I mad. I was like "The Giants don't need a project DE right now, they need a Linebacker!" My son (the cooler head between the 2 of us) said "Mark my words. This guy is going to be a stud. He's too good of a natural athlete." I scoffed and was thinking "Kids. What do they know?"

Oops.
