Man these negotiations between Buffalo and Stevie Johnson is making my head spin. They need to just pay him what he wants, and deal with it. We can't let a receiver of his caliber walk away, he's been very productive over the past two seasons and is only 25. I know we don't want to do it, but our best bet right now might be to franchise him. That will buy us more time to come to terms with an extension. He's made it very clear he wants to remain a Bill, but he also wants market value.

Yeah... Who knows you might get lucky and he'll decline direct deposit, and drop his check while walking to the bank free player!

My biggest fear is that they let him test the open market, and someone like Daniel Snyder (no offense) offers him a 5 year 60 million dollar deal.

They'd better sign him or the Orchard Park faithful will be pissed. I can only imagine what Bills fans are saying on 550 Sports Radio. Some of the most entertaining parts of the NFL season is tuning into the Bills postgame on 550 after a loss. These people become unglued on the airwaves. They're Awesome fans.

Dude, they are going nuts. I'm pretty pissed too, pay him what he wants. He's by far our best aerial weapon, and he showed that he can be productive against against any corner. (Even Revis)

This free agent receiver class is loaded so if I were the Bills I wouldn't overpay Johnson. He's been good but he hasn't been great and if he wants top-10 receiver money I'd let him test the market because he'd quickly learn no team would pay him that much, especially considering his tendency to do stupid touchdown celebration gags which ended with him getting benched in the final game.

His butter finger tendencies bother me more than his immaturity. He has made some phenomenal plays for us over the past two seasons, but he has also had a couple game changing drops. I would hope that as he gets older, he gets more mature and his celebration antics stop.

A tough old veteran will put a stop to those horsesh*t antics if it costs them 15 on a kickoff.

We need someone like you on the team!

Edit - Speaking of which, seeing as you live in Ontario, why aren't you a Bills fan?

I've been watching the NFL combine all weekend, and man does it make me pine for football. I knew Andrew Luck was a pretty athletic guy, but I didn't think he could jump like he did. He really is the complete package for an NFL quarterback. The NFL draft is just two months away, I CANNOT wait.

RGIII ran a 4.34, sound the alert for the Raiders to try to trade up to #2 and get him.

I'm seeing 4.38, but either way I doubt the Raiders will trade up for him. They have Carson Palmer who cost them a fortune and still have Terrel Pryor if I'm not mistaken.

Someone is going to get a good QB in that guy. Everyone is hyping Luck so much Griffin will be just as good IMO.

I think they're both going to be franchise quarterbacks as long as they stay healthy. It should be the Manning/Brady rivalry of this generation, regardless it's going to be fun to watch. (As long as they both stay out of the AFC East)

Yeah this is a good year at the top 2 spots to get a QB, I could see both becoming top 20 QBs in the very near future.

As if the 4.38 weren't impressive enough. Now this: RT @McClain_on_NFL: Gil Brandt timed RG3 in 4.34.

His lack of arm strength is a concern though.

In most years I'm sure Griffin would be #1 overall. I definitely don't think he'll be a bust.
